The weather report for this weekend–Mother’s Day weekend–for virtually all of New England: in the 40’s (that’s the daytime figure, by the way), heavy rain and wind.
This isn’t funny. This is extreme, even for this part of the country. I have nothing intelligent or witty to say about it; I’m just venting my spleen.
There. I feel better already.

First time that I can remember having a roaring fire going in May, in West Texas as we did on Tuesday.

The weather has been really weird in Florida, too.

Weird whether out here on the West Coast too: rain, in late April/early May, which is not something I ever remember happening before. However, before you feel too sorry for us, I have to say that, between rainfalls, the weather is stunningly beautiful and temperate. There’s a reason we pay ridiculously high sums for real estate here.

Yeah, it’s crappy and cold here in NYC too. I’m way ready for it to be over.
