  1. Ent:
    ‘When Spring unfolds the beechen leaf,
    and sap is in the bough;
    When light is on the wild-wood stream,
    and wind is on the brow;
    When stride is long, and breath is deep,
    and keen on the mountain-air,
    Come back to me! come back to me,
    and say my land is fair!’

  2. HA HA! You neocon robots. Dont like a little wet weather huh? You can blame Georgie Boy, your ‘dear leader’ for not signing the Kyoto agreement which would have solved global warming and saved the planet. Now you have a little wet weather and you whine!!!!

    HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!

  3. Quickbeam has come to life in Neo’s backyard….and I see an Entling has appeared in our midst as well… but perhaps neoneoconned is an Ent wife instead, long lost but now found, bearing sprigs of wit and no doubt profound insight to this ‘gathering’…

  4. do any of you neo con fanatics not read fantasy novels? stop it ….it is for silly young men like yrmdwnkr not for grown ups.

    you worry me….

  5. Actually I love the almost prophetic analogies to the current war for world freedom. Men of the West where are you! Ha, it’s silly yet beautifully analogical. The Ents might be Leftist turned Neocons, in a sense.

  6. I can’t look at those pictures and not think of Tolkien’s Ents. Any of the birches ever lean over and speak to you? 🙂

    “Some of my kin look just like trees now, and need something great to rouse them; and they speak only in whispers. But some of my trees are limb-lithe, and many can talk to me. Elves began it, of course, waking trees up and teaching them to speak and learning their tree-talk. They always wished to talk to everything, the old Elves did.”
    -Treebeard

  7. it is Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

    you could also try

    Daniel 2:21
    He changes times and seasons; he sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.

    so we had better all watch our steps!

  8. Child … there are so many quotes to nature and wisdom, it would be like one person harvesting oranges — great quotes from the great modern mythologist Joseph Campbell to Native America spiritual lore, here is a common one:

    To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
