Caution on troll-feeding

It’s tedious work to prepare the new blog, and I don’t have a lot of spare time to devote to it. I believe it will be ready in a few days, however.

In the meantime, I would like to reiterate that all commenters here refrain from feeding the trolls. I deleted an entire string of comments yesterday that was just back and forth squabbling. The comments section here is something I really value, and I don’t want it to degenerate into childish namecalling on either side.

Trolls do get tired of picking fights with people. They did for me. But so long as their narcissist complex requires attention… well they will go towards the light.

I’ll bet I’m an offender on this. I just keep hoping people will be reasonable. I get drawn into arguments with SMI’s, too… sorry.

neo–I enjoy reading your thoughts and perspective, but there are times when the trolls definitely make it tedious to work through the comments. Have you considered some type of registration–something like Dean Esmay does at Dean’s World? I think that is very effective in that it allows for all viewpoints, but encourages comity and discourages trolling.
