Still happily engaged in post-Thanksgiving festivities

I’m with my family, playing out the Thanksgiving weekend and relaxing—in the countryside this time, not the city. Today we’re finally ratcheting down the eating; all the leftovers are gone, which helps.

Winter seems to have made a sudden appearance (Thanksgiving Day was in the sixties and then it dropped overnight to the thirties with a bitter wind), after an autumn of such lingering beauty it seemed as though it would never end. I don’t have much internet access, or even a TV, and my cell phone works only sporadically.

I plan to thoroughly enjoy my time here and then get back to my regular longwinded blogosphere self on Monday.

We still have some leaves on the trees and leftovers in the frig. Thanks for all your interesting posts.

We (FL) still have people swimming in pools - and the leftovers aren’t quite gone.

That cold front hit Atlanta too, Neo, on Thanksgiving.

    Happy (belated) Thanksgiving!

I spent the whole week in SoCal…

About Me

Previously a lifelong Democrat, born in New York and living in New England, surrounded by liberals on all sides, I've found myself slowly but surely leaving the fold and becoming that dread thing: a neocon. My friends and family don't want to hear about my inexplicable conversion, so I started this blog to tell the tale of my political change and provide a forum for others. I have a background as a therapist, and my politics make me a pariah in the profession, too. Little did I know that I moved in such politically homogeneous circles. Why the apple? See this.
