“Is it simply a hubris?”
Hubris is his middle name. He simply can not do a thing without it. And it is enough as explanation. Using Occam’s razor, I feel unnecessary to seek another reason, especially so unprovable as ill will.

I just realized something, and it may sound completely wacko, but hear me out. What’s the single best thing Bill Clinton could do for Hillary right now?
Keel over of a heart attack.
It would be perfect, from her point of view. There would be an orgy of fond nostalgia, his funeral would suck up all the news oxygen and press “reset” on Obama’s momentum, and best of all he wouldn’t be an albatross around her neck any more.
It’s such an obvious idea I hope his Secret Service detail are being especially vigilant.

Very good article, Ma’am. I’m not surprised that Bill is astonished at the shots he’s taken at the hands of the formerly fawning press. We’ve seen the same astonished reaction from Obama and his acolytes when he was finally given tough questions to answer by what he presumed were press sycophants.
The Left loves to be loved. And they devour each other at every perceived mis-step. Makes for a heady and dangerous mix. Hillary is now the odd-woman-out to the Leftist MSM.

“…no marriage can be understood from the outside; it’s difficult enough for the couple themselves to know what’s really going on.”
Great line, Neo, and true to boot!
