French freedom of speech: perhaps it’s not an oxymoron after all

I don’t have the details yet, but this is very good news: Philippe Karsenty has won his appeal.

    Excellent news. Congratulations to Karsenty and Richard Landes for their dogged efforts in exposing this wretched hoax for what it was.

    To what degree does French law depend upon precedent? Does this set one?

    njcommuter: I have no idea on what grounds the case was decided. I’m awaiting further news on that, which I’m sure Richard Landes will provide.
