Here’s a post I wrote about Obama, back when we were first getting acquainted with him.
I’d hardly change a word. Subsequent events have only solidified my impression.

New Obama campaign song:
My Tribute to Madeline Kahn: Lyrics: I’m Tired
I’ve been with 1000’s of men,
again and again,
they sing the same toon,
the start with Byron and Shelly,
and jump on your belly,
and bust your ballon!
aye!
tired,
tired of playing the game,
ain’t it a freakin shame,
I’m so…
let’s face it,
everything below the waste is kapput!

“McCain may be giving the Obama campaign just enough rope to hang itself with the force of its overwhelming ambition.”
Fascinating take, but I’m thinking you might just be right. Obama may well self-destruct. I saw an article today on National Review comparing him to Tom Dewey (1944 and ‘48). Dewey was also egocentric who couldn’t take criticism and had no sense of humor - just like Obama.
