“Waiting for Barack” — 12 Comments

  1. I personally find this whole text messaging, keep guessing stategy for staying in the news an insult. I don’t care who he chooses as veep. The only change I want is for him to disappear from our TV screens and magazine covers.

  2. I read some of the comments at the link, and there were certainly people on my side. That’s a good feeling. The latimes source is interesting. If any place understand the celebrity game it’s LA. I wonder whether they will award a special Emmy next year for best portrayal of a presiential candidate.

  3. “What shall I do now? What shall I do?”
“I shall rush out as I am, and walk the street
“With my hair down, so. What shall we do tomorrow?
    “What shall we ever do?”
    The hot water at ten.
And, if it rains, a closed car at four.
And we shall play a game of chess,
Pressing lidless eyes and waiting for a knock upon the door.

  4. I think in the final analysis it will be determined that the problem for the media hyped character of Barak Obama is that he peaked too early.

Even his adoring youth base knows a really cool music video can become annoying as hell if its played to death.

  5. So, it’s Biden.

The man with hoof in mouth disease and who indeed seems to struggle for originality.

Meanwhile, someone get Obonga to the ER and ring up the orthopaedic reconstructive surgeon. Obonga had exercised poor muzzle control and now his right foot’s metatarsal bones are a mess.

Biden is a man who lacks humility, so he doesn’t learn from his mistakes.

I have to think that Soros the Puppet Master should get a thank-you note from McCain if McCain pulls it out in November.

  6. So why did we have to wait so long for the mountain to bring forth this molehill? Was it just theatrics or did Obama fail to close a better deal? Or maybe he just can’t make a decision.

This is our first view of Obama as executive — someone who labors long to make a safe, obvious choice.

  7. Well, he found somebody who can talk for hours without saying anything of substance.

    Birds of a feather…

This election is over unless McCain picks Lieberman or Ridge.

  8. Biden. An old white guy. So much for hope and change.

I really do not think that McCain will pick Lieberman, but I know a lot of people who like Ridge. The man won a bronze star in Viet Nam. He was a Republican Congressman and Governor from PA. He is not a liberal for heavens sake.

  9. kungfu:

No, are you kidding me? Another RCP poll to look at.

I have no idea who will win, but something I have noticed is that Democrats have a tendency to nominate elitist snobby arrogant pols for president and then scream that they have been robbed when they lose.

  10. Terrye,

I looked at your poll. A ten point electoral vote difference in favor of McCain and you still say this election is over? I don’t get it.
