Where’s Orwell when you need him?

We have always been at war with Eastasia.

    The MSM are doubleplusgood duckspeakers.

    Double-plus ungood.

Unless you always put moral principle over your political template, or any unquestioned authority for that matter, you might not like what Orwell might have told you.

It’s funny that if it wasn’t for 9/11 and various other things of black and white, most people would never have been paying attention to such subtle differences in details over institutions that claim to be “straight down the middle”.

They’re not straight down the middle, for there is no middle to extremists and those that have been bought by money or ideology. There is only their way or the highway.

What’s also sad it that people that wish bad for America, de facto wish bad 100-fold for the rest of the world. They don’t understand that what happens to America, unlike any other county, also happens to the world exponentially. America will recover from this financial crisis, for the rest of the world who knows?

1984 was supposed to be a warning, not an instruction manual.

When I saw neo’s title, I had a little bout of the shivers. About an hour ago, I wrote an email to clueless relative, trying to explain what’s going on. I concluded by telling her I feel like we’re in an Orwell movie with the point being a warning. And Then I added — but we’re past that, now. So many minds thinking alike.

This is just the beginning. If Obama is elected, we’ll see other–much scarier–aspects of 1984 worlds coming to life in US.

And the worst part is that many people who will end up voting for Obama, wouldn’t know what they are really voting for. They don’t go to the blogs like yours, they don’t read long data-rich threads, they don’t watch scary YouTube kids-singing videos. We keep going down in polls because people listen to the huge propaganda machine–and take that BS at face value. What we need is an arsenal of conversation changers. These attention grabbers that make an impact in 5 sec. And THEN those whose opinions still can be changed may start reading more. Obama’s side if excellent in this. They have pros working around the clock on all sorts of visuals that go straight to the emotions level, bypassing the logic. Just take a look at this site to know what I’m talking about.

Can you name a single memorable anti-Obama poster that speaks to the center-leaning Democratic voter? I can’t. And to expose who Obama really is we need some of that. With my new blog and Facebook page I’ve started a new repository to fill this gap and hope it will take off and will be used and extended by others. Your comments and suggestions are more than welcome.
