  1. This bill is a must and must be passed right now and must be signed into law and must be voted for by all legislators.

    OK. I understand that. But while I understand the absolute necessity of doing this right now, without anyone’s reading it if needs be, can anyone tell me just what it is this bill is supposed to do to make things better?

  2. The only reason this bill must be passed right now is because the longer it is in the open the more people who will come to understand its dangers and impact on the future of America.

    Didn’t California have an Exchange for energy that help bring their market to a collapse. Lots of rules that prohibited rational market participants from buying futures and hedging their risks. This health exchange sounds a lot like that to me.

  3. Blue Dog Democrats appear to be only pastel blue. They mainly play lip service to the concept of fiscal conservatism to win cross-over votes in districts where there is strong conservative voter registration. These dogs unfortunately run with the pack in the Democrat Party most of the time. On a huge social issue like health care, we need to beat them over the head with correspondence if we want to persuade them to break with the mother (Pelosi) ship.

    CHOOSING THE USUAL PROFITING INSURANCE COMPANY, OR CHOOSING GOVERNMENT PLAN SHOULD BE UP TO AMERICANS?
    The deciding factor in implementing health care for everybody–LEGALLY–in America, is the Publics voice? Those who want to just follow the same old road, can do so with the profit taking commercial insurance. Those who would be satisfied with a government run health care program, can now start demanding it from the lawmakers. Those who see a Universal health care system, similar to most developed countries in Europe, should start informing every Representative and Senate politician starting today. Rationing in places like England, was caused by the major impact of uncontrolled immigration. I see–THE RATS–are coming out of the woodwork, using propaganda and downright lies about government run medical care?

    The Special interest lobby, status quo have very wealthy fingers in the pie and do not want Health care for everybody? It’s a trillion dollar business like Cancer treatments. The pharmaceutical companies, AMA and others have very much to lose? Even many corrupt politicians are stockholders in this behemoth money machine. Most American working class can do–without– high premiums, pre-existing condition clauses. deductibles, co-pays that is representative of the wealthy medical care insurers. CALL YOUR SENATOR OR REPRESENTATIVE ! Whatever pertains to your family, you should start ruffling the indifferent feathers of the people in Washington at 202-224-3121 Just like illegal immigration , we cannot afford anymore to subsidize the business that hire them or the millions of illegal families.

  5. When our elected representatives enact new laws without reading–or apparently even caring–what effect they will have, then we no longer have representative government.

    We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. – That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, – That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

    We are rapidly approaching that point. And like I keep saying, the sooner the better.

  6. I just saw a headline on Yahoo News that read:

    “Obama to Congress: Don’t lose heart on health care.”

    I love it. Obama is worried. I mentioned a few posts back that there are all sorts of cracks appearing in Obama’s armor.

  8. Just got this from BBC text news. Emergency neorosurgery is being moved from a busy Swansea hospital to Cardiff. An NHS Trust at Abertwa Bro Morganwwg University said this is a temporary agreement that will begin July 27. “The trust said a UK-wide neurosurgery staff shortage means that from August it will only have 1/3 of the staff needed.”

    Does anyone think the monumental healthcare bill has taken into account it effects on the recruitment and training of personnel?

The real cynical side of government sponsorship of care for every citizen in this way is not just the monetary issue, which is a concern, but that the government begins to believe that it is something of a surrogate parent of the citizen, and thus most horrific of all, the citizen is the property of the state, the state is invested in the citizen as if the individual were something of a commodity, believe me when I say I realize this and regret that the current administration is investing it’s efforts in this direction, I am growing from what we’ve all witness in these regards and I will remember it.

  10. Apparently, Congress feels that what’s good enough for us proles, isn’t good enough for them. They will NOT have Obamacare for themselves.
