I just love this Leonard Cohen oldie. It was taken back in his Dustin Hoffman lookalike days. Perhaps for Cohen fans only, though:

A fun clip, particularly, as you said, if one enjoys Cohen. But, try the clip that shows as Cohen in a “workingman’s cap” in the thumbnails at the bottom of this video. It’s “L. Cohen on Q TV (CBC)” on UTube, the 42 minute version.
The interviewer is skillful, if a bit subdued by his minimal age; the extra minutes at beginning and end add verisimilitude. Clip done in either 2005 or 2009, not clear to me; regardless Cohen is another old dog, which for me explains a lot. And one of the fastest thinkers and self-editors of apparently conversational comments I’ve heard.
To say he is witty is not to add much to the record, but listen closely, how he implies so much with very few words.
And, neo, what so you think his comments about current “slogans” might imply? Also, the aside on political correctness?
Also, if one is interested in the taxonomy and history of human features, where did the “nordic folds” in the eye corners, and that long Swedish/Russian upper lip come from; the grand nose is seen too many places, including our British Colonial fathers, to have much interest.

Thanks Neo, that was priceless. And yes, I am a fan, thanks to YOU. Don’t know how I lived through the 70′s without being aware of him, but it was in New Zealand, so that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.

I used to have some friends who performed folk music professionally and the moment they hated most was when “Suzanne” was called out from the audience. They sang it, but had any of them ever met the real Suzanne I think it would have gone hard for her.
Of course, I also knew some rockers who would gladly have plucked, roasted, and eaten the Free Bird.
