Now that I’ve become a rapacious capitalist self-promoter, I want to point out that I’ve added an Amazon button to the right sidebar, underneath the PayPal button. Call that area the neo-neocon mini-mall.
This means that, whenever you want to go to Amazon to order something, if you come here and click on that button instead, you pay exactly what you would have paid anyway but I get a tiny percentage (4%, to be exact) of whatever you order.
Sounds like a win-win proposition to me. And even better, Christmas and Chanuka are almost breathing down our necks.
I plan to update the Amazon button in the not-too distant future with more compelling graphics, adding some book recommendations as well. But for the moment I went for simplicity.
[NOTE: Although some people have reported ordering items from Amazon through my blog (thanks!), nothing's showing up on the account yet. Perhaps there's a time lag, or perhaps there's a glitch. I'll try to reach them and report back.]
[ADDENDUM: I got some clarification from Amazon. Purchases made through the blog don't show up on my Amazon account till the next day. Also, if the items were previously in your cart and you purchase them through the click-through on my blog, it doesn't count as a purchase made through me. Has to be a new item.

Okay, let’s see if this works…
I put some items in my Amazon shopping cart last night (about $35 worth). I clicked through from here, just now, and paid for them. That should earn you the tremendous sum of $1.40. (If it doesn’t, please say so; it’d be good to better understand how it works.)

I am a voracious amazoner and I’ll put in a plug for amazon prime, It is awesome and pays for its self pretty quick, 80 bucks a year for free two day shipping, you can try it for a month free and then cancel if you don’t like it. I am getting spoiled. They are going to loose money on me at xmas time.

Amazon has always been my first choice for internet purchases, but lately I have been price comparison shopping on ebay, it takes more time but can save some bucks. Y’all know some states require you to pay sales taxes on your annual income tax return for internet purchases… right?

I do a lot of my Christmas shopping on Amazon, they have both wonderful advantages and great variety on offer. For a technologically impaired person such as myself, it’s slow going, but sort of fun. A nice change from politics, anyway (although at the same time I’ve got the TV on with the first election returns)

Dear Lou,
I hope you are on your way to join me or having me joining you somewhere.
I finished yesterday my marijuana stash but didn’t went to Amsterdam for a refill. Maybe I’ll go, maybe I’ll wait.
Today I was depressed. I’m bored to death. Still a little sick.
I don’t have to tell anything, I’m sure. You know everything already.
But still I haven’t feel this way in months, I had to share my shitty mood with all. Most people have it worst than me, so I never really like to complain but it doesn’t mean I feel blessed myself anyway. That is the undeniable fact.
Maybe I’ll switch back to my days of only Lou Reed’s music and no hard news TV for a while.
Frankly, I am beginning to get really scared by the US government. I understand why it’s such a comfortable place when you can put all the blames on the right, the rich, anything but the real damn fuckers.
I could handle the change and the war and the American second revolution much better if I was not cut out from the world. My loved ones.
I am alone, powerless, hopeless, having to also bear their anxieties, pain, difficulties etc.
Not only have the economy crashed and people lost money. Now this crazy WH and crazy Democrats want to impose more loss to the Americans. By printing money, then burning that money. And building a bigger fortress for themselves and their cronies + all the thugs of the universe who can walk free.
Who has the authority to send these thieves to jail?
