Symmetry

The Massa and Foley incidents are starting to show a strange symmetry.

  1. Wolla Dalbo Says:

Massa was shifty and unconvincing about his conduct on Beck, dodged when asked if he was Gay by Larry King, and recent revelations about his questionable activities during his Navy career make the possibility that he is gay or bisexual likely.

Massa claims he would have voted against the Health Care Reform bill. However, I cannot help but think that the party of Gerry Studds and Barney Frank cares not at all about whether a Democratic member of Congress is Gay, but cares an awful lot about lining up votes for Health Care Reform and that, no matter what his sexual orientation or conduct, if Massa had been a solid vote for Health Care Reform we would have heard nothing about any “Ethics Committee” investigation, there would have been no leaks to the MSM, and he would still be in Congress today, to be a solid yes vote for Health Care Reform.

  2. neo-neocon Says:

Wolla Dalbo: you may be correct, but in this case it wasn’t whether Massa is gay or bisexual or straight that was the supposed issue, it was that the targets were staffers. Although the timing is very suspect, if Pelosi et al knew about the charges earlier and didn’t go after him.

  3. Wolla Dalbo Says:

Having seen staffers told to clean out their desks, surrender their ID cards, and leave the building with less than an hours notice, or heard about brutal 60 plus hour work weeks, somehow I don’t think that Congressmen are that concerned about “staff.”

  4. SAB Says:

On Charlie Rose recently Pelosi referred to Massa as “Poor Baby” twice and sarcasticly said something along the lines of, “How sad it must be for one to realize their unimportance in the world”…ouch.

About Me

Previously a lifelong Democrat, born in New York and living in New England, surrounded by liberals on all sides, I've found myself slowly but surely leaving the fold and becoming that dread thing: a neocon.
