Help-seeking spambot who has has attempted to master the American vernacular:

I just spent ages typing a long comment, and when I tried to send it my FireFox freaked out. Did you get it or is it lost and I have to do it again?
What an inept and disappointing spambot. My spambot said, just yesterday, I really liked your post and I will really say that the last post posted about this topic explained everything in the posted post. And this post is really a booster. I will say that the starter of this post was really in need of this information and so was I, I did search for this topic, but bang you people posted about this. They are nothing if not inventive. A shame that such inventiveness could not be channeled into more worthwhile activities.
I had a good one complimenting me on my post, followed by: “I am a man. I don’t read comics and wouldn’t know IronMan if you put him in a lineup in front of me.” It was followed by a Viagra link.
OK – this has been bugging the heck out of me. What exactly is the point of a “spambot”? Are they intended to get you to click on a link or are they just some sort of pointless cosmic graffiti? What are they? Please, someone explain this to me – the spambot updates are killing me!
