Ah! In the real world, actions have consequences.
I think that Arizona should praise San Diego and San Francisco for their obviously superior humanitarianism. In fact, Arizonans should take all illegals discovered under enforcement of the new law and deport them to San Diego and San Francisco where they will be properly cared for.
A little reverse Cloward-Piven to balance out the Karma.

Living here in SoCal, I’m incensed. The morons who promulgated this crap definitely need to go. All of them.
Donna Frye is weapons-grade stupid, and her surname pretty much describes what happened to her cerebral cortex. She’s only on the City Council through a disturbance in the space-time continuum; we should return her to her natural trajectory, i.e., crack whore. (Harsh, I know – but take a look at her and tell me I’m wrong. Apologies to crack whores for lumping Frye in with them.)
Let California collapse. I say that as a Californian who is bitter at the liberal infestation of his beloved state. But we need all the liberal scum and social parasites (insofar as those groups are distinguishable) to leave, one way or another. We desperately need our own Chris Christie. Maybe we could clone him.
And as for Arizona, good for them. They’re doing what needs to be done – resisting illegal immigration and liberal shinola, both at the same time.

I left SoCal in ’85, after 8 years residence, and have never regretted it.
If San Diegans feel the pinch perhaps they’ll toss the idjits in the next election. But I’ll not hold my breath.

Another former SoCalifornian here, who left in 1989 after 23 years’ residence and am thankful every day that I made that decision, which was gut-wrenching at the time. I now live in the Midlands of South Carolina where the temperature and the humidity in the summertime are both in the 90′s and I couldn’t be happier, for more reasons than I could possibly post here.
Next step, find out what I can buy that was made in Arizona and buy about 10 times of it that I need, like I did of Danish products a few years ago.

benning and Cpt. Ricketyback, I understand. I wish I could bring myself to your solution. I’m constitutionally (is that word still allowed? Ah, the hell with it, I’ll use it anyway) opposed to giving the liberals their way by leaving, and much more inclined to stay and fight. The problem is figuring out how to fight.
My earliest and fondest memories are here in California, and I resent being forced to leave by the actions of recent arrivals with their Red-tinged points of view.
I’m beginning to understand how the Indians felt.

Occam’ Beard, Have you ever read the very Politically incorrect, Half Commanche, Half White blogger David Yeagley? In 2001 he had an article titled “I Don’t Need a Great Brown Father” where he compared what Mexican Separatist were proposing to him as a Commanche with the Japanese “Asia for the Asians” circa WW2. I lived in the City of San Diego for 17 years. I remember when we had responsible mayors and city councilmen/women. I now live in North San Diego County. I wouldn’t return to the city. It’s governance has become non-functional. San Diego is inundated with “Zonies” every summer. How do these idiot council members think the beach community businesses will survive without summertime Zonies?

I am visiting my mother in Colorado and visited friends in Louisville. They pointed out that the city of Boulder had instituted a boycott of Arizona since they were all for “diversity”. I emailed the city and told them why I would not visit the city and spend my hard earned dollars there.
I told them to enjoy their boycott and I would enjoy mine. We all need to let these people know that their actions have consequences too.

Reference Boulder and Ft. Collins, CO. Both these places have reputations for being insulated from reality. In Ft. Collins there are four places to buy Tibetan goods in a three block area of downtown. That says something about a place. I wonder how the residents of these towns would react if their neat, clear and superficial lifestyles came crashing down in an economic collapse or act of violence? Blame Arizona’s new law?

Thank you for the link to David Yeagley’s blog. He and I had part-time library jobs when we were both in divinity school (and were both un-PC!) and used to have good coffee-break conversations in the library staff room– glad to know he’s still around and taking no prisoners.
I just wish I were part Native American so I could call myself Bad Cat.

I lived in Carlsbad from 1985 to 1990. Was planning to retire there (1993). We saw the handwriting on the wall and, with great regret, took our leave.
In 1955 I was in bound to NAS North Island for my first duty station. The ag inspectors at the border told me that 2500 people a day were moving into the state. At that time San Diego was a sleepy little Navy town with Convair as a major employer.
Now 2500 people a day are moving out of California, San Diego is an over prententious, sprawling bedroom community, Convair is gone, and, if Obama has his way, the Navy may leave too. Change, it’s what happens when you’re not looking.
I once lived in Boulder, CO as well. I love these geographically well located places, but it seems they always get overrun by the trust fund yuppies and become exclusive liberal enclaves. Same goes for where I live now, but I’m too old to run so I’m gonna fight. That’s the only answer now Get fiscal conservatives elected or else!
