Steyn on anti-Semitism — 6 Comments

  1. Still, the impatience of the new globalized Judenhass is now palpable. I used to think that, when Iran got the bomb, it wouldn’t use it. I wouldn’t take that bet now. The new anti-Semitism is a Euro-Islamic fusion so universal, so irrational and so fevered that it’s foolish to assume any limits.

    I have to agree here.

I used to wonder how the world could have gone mad the way it did in the 30’s and 40’s. I don’t wonder anymore.

The problem with the Jews is that they can be taken as a challenge to every other creed, from atheism to Islam.

What good is it to gain the whole postmodernist world if the Jew still observes the Torah? How can Islam rule the world and really be God’s final word if Muslims can’t even control God’s own city or convert God’s own people?

When Israel is safe and secure, things basically go good for the world. When Jews are under attack, you know it is bad times headed for worse.

  2. Not to make this all about BO, but when he makes idiotic statemenst such as “America has always been a Muslim nation,” he not only panders to our Islamic enemies, he reveals his true thoughts and attitudes. Ever been to Omaha Beach? There’s a cemetery there with 9500 graves of American soldiers. Most are memorialized with Christian crosses. However, many are memorialized with Stars of David! There is a conspicuous absence of Muslim crescents at Omaha Beach. Why is that? If Obama were correct, that cemetery would have its share of crescents.

  3. On that day I will raise the tabernacle of Dovid that is fallen and repair its breaches. I will raise up its ruins and rebuild it as in the days of old … I will bring back the captivity of My people Yisrael, and they shall build the waste cities and dwell within. They shall plant vineyards and drink their wine. They shall also make gardens and eat their fruit, and I will plant them in the Land [Amos 7:11, 14-15].

    . . . widespread, long-lasting, multi-faceted, over-determined, much-explained yet ultimately mysterious phenomenon: anti-Semitism.

Anti-Semitism is rebellion against the Creator of all that istrue God and : the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob

  4. Unfortunately, as the economy worsens–and it will worsen, giving the insane economic policies currently in vogue–I expect to see anti-Semitism increase even more than it already has.

As countless millions of people suffer and fall into poverty, the “Jewish Banking Conspiracy” types will come out of the woodwork. It’s a situation tailor-made for demagogues.

  5. Agree: We are reliving the 1930s, doomed to repeat.

Before Obama was elected i said that we are so close to it, and so many castigated that position. i refused to change it. now, finally, we have people noticing that its getting to look a lot like history again.

if we knew more of our history in detail, we would have recognized it and the symptoms when dealing with them was a lot easier.

A american Thinker article brought up the idea of a Ratchet, and how it seems that Obama is ratcheting things the way prior progressives did. even if he fails, we are stuck with some of the things.

i said a long time ago, read what Gleichschaltung means, and not the paseing dictionary meaning, but Gleichschaltung as a process.

maybe now, people might look. over a year ago, they were too angry to even accept the suggestion that they would be in such a position.

but i guess having your leg caught in a bear trap and now having to decide whether to bleed to death cutting your leg off, or just sit there and starve to death and which one affords a longer life…

anyone besides me realize that if he makes an EO that grants amnesty, when the courts rescind it you have what in the streets? and if they don’t, who is president in 2012 (and potentially for life, as the leaders then bow to a global leader… want to guess who that is?)
