We all know that McCain is two things; at best a maverick, irascible in nature and, also a RINO.
What truly defines a RINO?
Acceptance of “The Narrative”.

“Maverick” means nothing when affixed to McCain. He likes it, the alliterative jorno pinheads like it, but it means nothing.
I put no stock in his present position on illegals. McCain is regrettably a liar, a self-serving man of thin convictions. He’s touched by the same brush as Reid: They’re in it for themselves, devoid of principles and sound judgement. Look at his legislative history, and his very probable S&L corruption back in the ’80s. It is a sad commentary on Arizona Repubs that McCain will likely beat Hayworth.

McCain seems to have a unique ability to rise above principle when his career demands it.

“Maverick” in this case simply means he’ll stick a Republican in the back, and do it publically, and for no good reason other than to hear the addoring press go on about his maverickness.
