Even Obama knew what was happening, when he suggested that Rangel retire.
Next up: Congresswoman Waters.
Ouch, those comments are vicious (the ones at the link, that is). Was that story instalanched or something? Comment threads like that give me hope for our future.
I saw it yesterday on TV, seating in the empaneling room in NY Supreme Ct (I rarely watch news on home TV, but there I was a captured audience) – and CNN said 12 out 13, not 11.
And then they talked to Rangel’s voters in his district…who all said they would vote for him again, even now (“he did so much for Harlem!”).
I guess he is truly a representative of his people.
