RIP Jack Lalanne

Here’s the proof (as if we needed any) that death comes to all: Jack Lalanne, pioneering fitness guru, has died at 96 of pneumonia.

Jack in his youth, at the age of 94:

“The good old days are this second.”

Awww nuts. I was just speaking to my 80 year old mother about him today as a matter of fact and we were in agreement that he may live to 110.

Well, it certainly seems like it was a life well lived. Godspeed Jack!

  2. Wry Mouth Says:

I will miss him, approximately 1,000 times more than I will miss Mr. Olbermann, who was a damn fine sportscaster.

(I watched both, in my youth, on local LA television) :)

*sigh* All that exercise and clean living caught up to him at last…

  6. Occam's Beard Says:

What an impressive man, someone who took charge of his life and lived it courageously, and on his terms.

    Godspeed, indeed.

I loved Jack. His energy and optimism were inspirational. We have lost a wonderful human being, but his message lives on. God bless and keep him and comfort his family.

I remember seeing his TV show during the 60s, in black & white.
