I keep meaning to call your attention to a new feature at PJ, the Tatler. It’s a forum for a group of journalists, bloggers, and other writers to sound off on whatever happens to catch their interest at any particular moment.
I’m a member, and every now and then I post something like this. If you want to see the list of people participating, go to the link and look at the right sidebar. But just to whet your appetite, among them are Richard Fernandez, Michael Ledeen, Governor Rick Perry, and Michael Totten.

As a Texan and a conservative, let me say just for the record- I do not trust Gov Rick Perry. He tried to push thru that massive land grab known as the Trans Texas Corridor and he seems to play both sides on illegal immigration. A few years ago the Houston paper reported he went down and spoke in Mexico about the need for free flow of labor across the border. I noticed when he was running this time, his adds spoke of “border security” but not “illegal immigration”. During the last primaries I held my nose and voted for the female Republican / libertarian -whether or not she had truther tendicies. When it came down to the actual vote between Perry and the Democrat Bill White I voted for neither- just voted on other things on the ballot.
