The Wisonsin fleebaggers: will they or won’t they? — 11 Comments

  1. Since the Scopes monkey trial, the left has employed the strategy of an overwhelming and consolidated defense/offense usually at a point of their choosing. What Scopes teaches us is the point that winning or losing the issue is less important than establishing the narrative.

However, in this issue, the Left is caught purely on defense. Victory and the narrative might be constrained to go together in this case. Perhaps. The propaganda machine has created powerful fables. But I’m hopeful. I’m thinking there is a good chance for truth to prevail.

And the Left cannot continue to resist, ala Wisconsin style, every state movement to clean its budget of corruption. If Walker stays strong and defeats the union resistance, a tear may appear in the liberal net.

  2. Seems to me like dereliction of duty.

If I were Gov. Walker, I’d mount as big a publicity blitz as I could, which would point out that by fleeing those Democratic legislators were betraying and trying to thwart our democratic form of government, and thumbing their noses at the People of Wisconsin, and especially at the he voters who voted in a Republican Governor and a Republican legislature intent on reform and cutting the budget. Moreover, I’d point out that they were acting like spoiled children.

Next, I’d try to find some way to cut off their pay and benefits, since they are not performing the duties for which they are given that pay and those benefits.

Finally, I would explore any other legal ways to punish the fleebaggers for deserting their posts and duties, and push, as well, for recall elections for each and every one of the fleebaggers.

  3. As I understand the issue only fiscal manners require the 3/5 majority to make a quorum. The republican majority should quickly pass a bill that deals not with compensation or benefits, but with collective bargaining only. Namely, ban public employee unions. Time to put away the softball and get out the baseball.

  4. In a way the pay of the fleebaggers has been stopped. The senate passed a bill stopping direct deposit of checks for anyone missing two sessions of the senate. Checks must be picked up in person on the floor of the senate. Word is some senators are hurting.

  5. My Governor should be going to the State Supreme Court to have the Cowards seats vacated for dereliction of duty.

In spite of what you read in the polls, Walker’s overall support remains strong and gets stronger as the Cowards remain out of state. We know it is win-or-lose right here. Everyone has all their chips on the table and we are waiting to see who is bluffing and who has aces. (Hint: it ain’t the cowards)

  6. The teacher union in Milwaukee has dropped the lawsuit demanding free Viagra. Sounds like they are getting the message.

  7. Dear Wisconsin Teachers,

Your money is STOLEN from you each and every pay day.

    Please look at your paystubs.

If you FIRE the unions (they gave away the concessions anyways) you’ll get a RAISE!!!

For me here in CA it’d be a $61 x 12 = $725+ raise. Since you are teacher you can probably correct that math.

That is a substantial raise that will WIPE OUT WHAT your union bosses just gave away!!!!!!!!

    Hello?

    Signed,

Concerned citizen who is also stolen from.

  8. Wolla Dalbo – Gov Walker has done all you describe.

Mr Frank- The Fleebaggers got around having to appear in person to pick up their checks by giving staff people Power of Attorney.

Cracks are starting to appear in the wall of 14. It has become obvious that the shots are being called in Washington by national unions and Democratic big shots, read Trumka and the Obama administration. One of the 14 is a 7th month pregnant woman, who I am sure is not real happy right now. There is no end game for them. Walker’s support is strong and the teacher’s union look like ungrateful spoiled children.

  9. Personally i dont know why we are paying much attention, as the future of these people is pretty much written… come election time, you let me know how they get around their own behavior as their opponent can make almost literally ANY claim of causation as they were not there…

to accomplish what they think they are accomplishing, they probably sacrificed their future… unless for some reason they know that something will change negating effect that comes from cause…
