Another Hanson must-read — 5 Comments

  1. VDH: “By now we know that the Bush-Cheney “shredding” of the Constitution (e.g., tribunals, wiretaps, intercepts, renditions, preventative detention, Predator drones, and Guantanamo Bay) was simply a liberal talking point.”

That tells you all you need to know about ‘progressives’. They have no moral or ethical principals. Anything and everything is the means to be used to achieve their ends.

  2. Typical Communists. Nothing liberal about them except venomous hatred .They have gallons of that

  3. Let’s summarize:
    I wouldn’t trust a five year old to land a 747.
And I wouldn’t trust the Obama Administration to successfully manage a newspaper delivery route.

Is that the essence of what Hanson wrote?

  4. Ah, Parker, you beat me to it!

When the MSNBC talking heads now support bombing an oil-producing Muslim Arab country that does not threaten our national security – without congressional approval, and with fewer allies than went with us to Afghanistan and Iraq – then we realize the entire Iraq hysteria was simply partisan politics, not about principles. That’s why we won’t see Rendition II at the movies, a return of Cindy Sheehan to network news, or Michael Moore in the VIP seats at the 2012 Democratic convention.

The entire hysteria was simply about partisan politics, not about principles.

The exact same thing I realized in 2001, some four months after Bush’s inauguration, when the Leftmedia whispered, “Er, Never mind! they didn’t actually steal the election after all.”

I was furious then: I’d marched on Washington on their say-so, because I was furious that the Repubs, as I was told, had bypassed the rightful American system. All they cared about, though, was that one of their Enemies was elected. That was the beginning of the end for me. And their Quisling behavior after 9-11 nailed it.

The Vicious Party, indeed. (See also, Vietnam, the Bugout.)

  5. Beverly,

To really understand the 2000 election and learn the truth about the attempted la boite de bulletin de vote sur lance by team Gore you should scour c-span for the various court challenges in FLA. Time and time again Gore lost in the lower courts (all presided over by judges appointed by a democrat governor) only to have the rulings overturned by the SCOF. Finally, even the chief justice of SCOF wrote a minority opinion that should have been the majority opinion. By then it was too late and the issue had to be resolved by the SCOTUS.

Thus for 8 years we heard that Bush was selected not elected. HOGWASH!
