Three people who might be pretty happy about Weinergate are…

…Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, and John Edwards.

Speaking of John Edwards, I’ve got a question: isn’t he really really wealthy? And if so, why didn’t he use his own money to placate Rielle Hunter?

I thought about that as well Neo. Perhaps because he had to hide it from Elizabeth and she had access to all financials? That was the only thing I could think of as it is my understanding that he is VERY wealthy.

  2. Mr. Frank Says:

Elizabeth was clearly the brains of the outfit.

  3. Tesh Says:

Seems to me that it’s a systemic problem with political creatures; they live to spend other people’s money.

I agree with Dustoffmom. He was hiding it from his wife.

Mr Frank, I don’t think Elizabeth is particularly smart. She lead the way into a spat with an old, poor Republican neighbor. It was a real loser of an argument for them to get involved in, a politically smart person like Bill Clinton would have invited the old guy over for beer and hot dogs and defused the situation, but Elizabeth pushed it and they looked real bad as a result.

    Best comment I’ve seen recently:

    Edwards/Weiner 2012!

  7. SteveH Says:

All his money was tied up in technological research in volumizer conditioners at the time?

  8. SteveH Says:

    “”Edwards/Weiner 2012!”"

Two left leaners that we now know literally lean left. :)

  9. Occam's Beard Says:

Yep. Time to go for the full Democrat experience.

  10. Don Carlos Says:

SteveH “literally lean left.” Suggests Peyronie’s Disease, but not yet sufficient to impair. We can but hope and wait for the full monte to happen to them.

Not the more obvious Weiner/Frank 2012?

  12. neo-neocon Says:

OlderandWheezier: don’t you think it should be Frank/Weiner?

  13. OlderandWheezier Says:

That crossed my mind, Neo – isn’t there a movie titled “Frankenweenie”?

I raised that question in the previous JE discussion. My answer is arrogance mingled with stupidity.

Elizabeth held the checkbook. He would’ve had to explain the expences.
