Alvin’s Island stores in the Florida panhandle were way ahead on discovering the inflatable shark. I seem to recall having one as a kid.

This is but a reminder that all the environmental extremists are wacko. Life is tenacious and adaptable. We homo sapiens sapiens can wreck much havoc but we are utterly incapable of causing long term or wide spread damage to life on earth.

Back in the “good old days” I spent 2 days and nights in the jungle in the Philippines doing survival training. It was a lesson in biodiversity and realizing that, in some areas of the world, we are at the top of the food chain only because of our cleverness in creating weapons.
You’re correct, Parker. Life is tenacious and adaptable. One reason we (homo sapiens sapiens) have been so successful is that we are supremely adaptable. The enviros would like us to forget that. They want to treat us as intruders in the natural world and freeze us in place. We are not intruders, we are part of the natural world and we must adapt to it as it changes. That is the one constant – change. Adapt or die.

We are indeed part of the natural world. To assume otherwise is to imagine we came from an alternate universe. We are masters at adaptation. A complex intelligence and opposable thumbs are far more dangerous. that WMD and
