Politicians bare all — 26 Comments

  1. Shouting Thomas –

Looks like I’ll have to get a liberal girl, as I can only take pictures of my debt.

“Hey baby, I know I’m not as insolvent as Uncle Sam, but I swear I’ve wasted almost every penny, and it will someday cause me to collapse.”

    Hot stuff.

  2. Lol! The end of that made me think of the story of my dad gifting an electric can opener to my mom for Christmas! He never made THAT mistake again!

  3. A photo with a dog or a baby always hits the spot (man clothed—dog or baby, clothing optional).

  4. Great advice. You could probably shorten it to just “Don’t send naked pictures of yourself. Anyone that is intimate enough with you to receive a naked picture from you would probably prefer having you naked in person.”

  5. “”The man who posted the photos, Carl B. Johnson””

    Coincidence? I don’t think so. 🙂

  6. nyght: It goes both ways, of course. This year for Father’s Day, I made it known that I’d be happy to receive a garish necktie. (What I *really* wanted was a new fedora, and I made that known too… but hey, I’ve never gotten the stereotypical tie for Father’s Day, so why not.)

No dice. I got a children’s book and a refrigerator magnet. Oh well…

  7. “If you have a large pile of cash …

Send the girl of your dreams a picture of your money!”

    Would naked Ben Franklins work?

  8. Quick question: Any idea when David Vitter will resign for paying for hookers? Seems the GOP talks a big game when it suits them, but avoids doing the right thing when required. IOKIFYAR

  9. It requires a heightened level of stupidity to believe anything that you post on the Internet or send as an e-mail attachment will remain discrete for very long. Especially if you are a public official or other prominent person.

Do these clowns not realize how that are endangering their reputations but also the security interest of the US?

  10. to men: women are not generally as keen on naked photos of men as men are of naked photos of women. Sending a woman one, unless it’s specifically requested, is a bit like gifting her with a power saw. It may be something you want. But she might be happier with some earrings.

And when she’s pissed off, she’s likely to take that “power saw” and put it to a use you never intended.

kaba the politicians sending naked pics of themselves into cyberspace are so self-absorbed the security of the US, much less the risk to their reputations, never enters whatever they use for brains.

  11. Why is it always the Democrats who actually resign when things like this surface? He’s single. He doesn’t run on family values. What exactly is the problem here?

  12. Why is it always the Democrats who actually resign…

    Because Republicans are better looking.

  13. Sending a real printed photograph isn’t a good idea, either.
Jimbo, Vitter confessed, and was re-elected.

I agree with Libby; she has it right.

  14. Boies Penrose, a notably corrupt Pennsylvania politician, understood these risks. He once said that he had never sent a letter to a woman that you couldn’t chill beer on.

And though this is a little off topic, i was charmed to learn that he once said that he preferred a “polygamist who doesn’t polyg than a monogamist who doesn’t monag”. (He was supporting a Mormon who had been elected to the Senate, Reed Smoot.)

  15. A photo with a dog or a baby always hits the spot

Even better, a photo with a kitteh.

  16. I don’t know. I have to partially disagree with Neo on this one.

A woman some years ago was asking various men in downtown New York if she could photograph them naked. She put up a website about it, and had notes about each man. Just random, real men of various ages and builds. All were decent-looking, but none was a Male Model type.

The pictures were vulnerable, revealing of the personality as well as the physique, and touchingly erotic. In other words, they were photographs of men as a straight woman would see them: not through homosexual males’ eyes, or the men’s own POV.

In The Piano, the movie directed by Jane Campion, there were some moments where the men were likewise vulnerable on camera, and one critic noted that he felt certain no male director would have caught that particular quality.

And I like the male body. Please, fellows, don’t shave your chests!
