1. By my quick count, the word ‘felt’ appears in that short piece five distinct times (not counting duplicated appearances); ‘feel’, twice. Governing the USA is not about your feeeeelings.
That said, I wonder if Obama is a poor manager, or if the unhappy women were hired out of political/affirmative-action considerations, or both.
2. I guess the “Three Strong Women” who prevailed in infighting and persuaded Obama to intervene in Libya don’t fit the narrative.
3. How long before the pop psych starts that Obama is acting out anger toward his female relatives (mother, grandmother, and spouse)?
Anyone who has been watching the success rates of Affirmative Action beneficiaries over the last few decades can argue that the identity-group that has had the largest, most munificent benefits of over-rapid promotion is not the group in which Obama is commonly placed. And these others just keep on kvetching, which is no surprise.
That’s nothing. I’m waiting for the books that tell how the young male staffers felt Lewinskized.

As I never bothered to read the Chairman Mao writings I purchased decades ago, I do not know to whom the Chairman was referring when he wrote the following.

But to me it sounds like Obama. Swollen in head- an overly high opinion of oneself. Sounds like the POTUS. Weak in legs- not accomplishing much. Let us hope so , if for the POTUS, at least for the sake of the country. Sharp in tongue- unless he wants “civility” from his oppoents. Empty in belly- wanting to play golf or raise money for the Democrats more than perform the duties of the POTUS. Check. Would Anita Dunn agree?

I will be waiting for further revelations about how cabinet members prevented Obama from carrying out his worst ideas. I suspect we owe Gates a great deal.

Speaking of expose type books, I thought of the latest Joe McGinniss book on Sara Palin. Both books are due to be released next week, on the 20th. So based on pre-orders as I write this, the Obama book is #22 and climbing, while the Palin book is #30 and dropping.
That may be a more troublesome sign, along with the fact the Palin book author is being trashed, even in the NY Times, while the Washington Post is reporting on the Obama book at all.

It’s just that no one is especially interested in making a big deal out of it.

You would have loved seeing me in Paris last year. In the food dept at Galerie Layfayette, a guy tried to get my wallet from my purse. I hit him repeatedly with the wire food basket and loudly called him every name in the book. I am generally a rather nice wimp, but I do have limits. And GF had its show for the day.

Much like an “imagine if Bush had done this,” imagine the reaction to a book asserting that men in the Obama Administration feel that they’re not paid sufficient deference. Word count of the response: two.

Good point, expat. I semi-understand blacks being proud that a black man was elected President, but part of me wants to ask, “Why? You didn’t get elected to anything,” because that would be my reaction to someone of my ethnicity being elected. (I know, not the same thing, but not totally different, either.)
Whenever someone speaks of “empowerment,” I always think of a former colleague in industry. We were forced to sit through “training” on how to run our departments in a PC fashion when “empowerment” was in its first malignant flower. After the umpteenth reference to “empowerment,” my colleaguew shook off the smoked herring expression on his face and said, to no one in particular, “Power isn’t granted. It is seized.”
Dead silence ensued. But he was right.
