I know the ad you are referencing but I don’t think “takes a licking” is the phrase that pays in this context.

The people who suffer a OCD of swallowing objects tend to have very interesting contents spanning spare change can openers wire razors and more
there are even people who make a living swallowing glass and claiming god protects them so u should listen to them.

If u can look up and swallow several sword till they touch ur stomac bottom then it isn’t all that amazing. It’s only amazing to academic doktors who live in a box and learn about reality from books and imagination. Imaginations that are surprisingly stunted w a hubris that if they can’t conceive it, it can’t be. Like the last paragraph where they actually have to tell themselves to believe the patient. But only maybe not really

The longevity of that pen’s functioning reminds me of my Philips electric shaver that I bought while stationed as a young ensign in Aruba. Still works after 51 years.
For those of you doing the math, my 74th birthday is Dec. 31st. Everyone go out that night and celebrate!
