Somehow I doubt… — 11 Comments

  1. I give Bachmann a lot of credit for entering the race and hanging in there.

She was a fighter. She was not my choice, but she still did a lot of good.

  2. she still did a lot of good

Wait…how? she has a bad habit of making stuff up. Tardisil, being one of them.

  3. I started out liking Bachmann and quickly tired of her whiny presentation. To quote a good line from an old movie, she reminded me of my first wife. That doesn’t apply in my case, but I’m familiar with the type.

  4. She stood for certain principles and did not waiver from them. That alone is good. She spoke out more forcefully than most of the men. Courage is the indispensable virtue. She has it.

  5. (I agree Mike.)

As to McCain’s endorsement, I think it was more for McCain than Romney–maybe John just trying to stay relevant.

Romney already gets the RINO vote, so no gain there.

  6. Bachmann was probably my favorite in the field, but she never seemed like Presidential material to me. I’d like to see her as Speaker of the House. She’d be a huge improvement over Weepin’ John Boehner.

    What a great idea.

    McCain’s endorsement:
It is hard to understand why the Romney team had to agree to this. Bad day for Romney.

    Santorum:
He is the ONE we were waiting for. GO RICK.

  8. Gellieba:

He is the ONE we were waiting for. GO RICK.

I disagree. Even if he could get the nomination, which I seriously doubt, he wouldn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell against Obama in the general election.

I have to agree. I’m a staunch conservative and some things about him just aren’t right. He’s always dead serious to a seeming fault. And he’s served up on a platter for the media to turn into Dan Quayle incarnate.

  10. Bachmann has essentially abandoned her House seat to run for President. She may have a difficult race, made harder since MN-6 is subject to redistricting.

The much more interesting option, for me, would be to have her take on Senator Klobuchar.

If Bachmann attempts either office, it will be an example of why I have been beating a drum about choosing a nominee with coattails. She’ll need help.

  11. McCain won the New Hampshire primary in both 2000 and 2008, so it could help there. And McCain is still popular with older veterans, nationally.
