Team Romney responds — 24 Comments

  1. Being the world’s worst prognosticator comes with two advantages, well, actually three: One, you can only get better. Two, just count on the reverse happening. And three, it takes the pressure off. How bad am I? I said Perry was going to win New Hampshire. Another one: Gingrich in a brokered convention. Ouch.

But, one can’t resist, and I think I’m getting a tad better at removing my personal wishes from the equation.

Romney in a landslide. There it is.

You have to admit that possibility is getting better and better. We haven’t even arrived at the debates yet. Romney hasn’t spent big money yet. Three more months of bad economics hasn’t happened yet.

Obama is looking more and more like a fighter who is losing all the rounds and can only win by knockout.

  2. Curtis:

Wish you hadn’t told me about your earlier predictions! (Kidding.)

  3. Agree with Curtis; and MSM will have it not as repudiation of Obama but as a soupé§on of ‘failure to get the message across’ with a great bog dollop of America’s racism. Fasten your seat belts.

    “Me jujitsu too”
    – Cary Grant (The Awful Truth)

“What’s important is if you are running for president is that the American people know who you are.”
    — Barack Obama

If Romney’s ‘misrepresentations’ are worthy of scrutiny, think what could be done with the public Obama persona that is in every instance a self-promulgated misrepresentation of private Obama. Mother lode.

  4. I agree wholeheartedly that the election is Romney’s to lose. So far he has run a quietly effective campaign. He’ll do fine debating BHO. When October arrives the DNC and BHO will be throwing almost anything against the wall of hope and change.

“What are they saving for later?”

Romney kicked a lesbian eskimo in grade school and is a member of the Illuminati?

  5. Please, email the Romney campaign TODAY right here with your comments and suggestions:
    http://www.mittromney.com/form

If you take the time to comment on these posts, you can take 2 minutes and send your comments to the Romney campaign!

    I email them daily.

Romney needs to know that we want to him to come out swinging and get on offense! “No more Mister Nice Guy” should be the theme of his campaign. He needs to directly call out the loser’s UNCONSTITUTIONAL government, his trashing of the rule of law and do a clear and complete laundry list of all of his failings, including:

    – starting the unconstitutional WAR in Libya, without Congressional approval
    – promising no new taxes and then ready to unleash the LARGEST TAX HIKE known to mankind
    – Fast and Furious — ’nuff said
    – expansion of the TSA and their trashing of the 4th Amendment
    – unconstitional drones
    – Solyndra
…many, many, too many others to mention.

Bottom line, please — email Romney DAILY!
    http://www.mittromney.com/form

If enough of us do, someone has got to tell him, “Hey — we’re getting a lot of mail on this….”

  6. “What are they saving for later?”

That Romney has pals who are admitted and unrepentant terrorists? That his mom, and apparently what few friends he has, were/are Reds? That he was elevated to his present position by a shadowy international financier?

  7. “What are they saving for later?”

They are saving the stuff so absurd it will insure a thorough Obama trouncing. They can’t help themselves. They are destroyers, not builders.

  8. Here’s a test to see who will vote for Obama. Make sure you are alone with the person and say quickly, “True or False, Man has free will.”

If you get an immediate True, that person will not vote for Obama.

If you get an immediate False, that person will likely vote for Obama.

If you get a pause, then a False, that person will definitely vote for Obama.

If you get a question instead of an answer, that person is Jewish and will vote for Obama.

If you get a “True, Baruch Hashem,” that person is Orthodox Jewish and will definitely not vote for Obama.

  9. National Review blog touches on this

The Obama campaign’s desperate “felony” charge against Mitt Romney ought to serve as a wake-up call for the Romney campaign and for the American public regarding the utter amorality of the president and his functionaries.

Although the jejune Boston Globe story was quickly debunked, that of course won’t stop them from pounding home the Big Lie that Romney continued to run Bain in 1999 while he was saving the Winter Olympics as long as it’s useful and “fits the narrative.”

now whats interesting is that leads to the washingtonpost… where they point out that key credit was omitted from the Globe piece.

Rowland says via e-mail that TPM and Mother Jones will get their due in the edits. Beutler is rooting for an “as first reported by [Mojo/TPM]”

    they are referring to this:
The Mystery of Romney’s Exit From Bain
    http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2012/07/mystery-mitt-romney-exit-bain-stericycle
Now there’s a debate over when the GOP presidential candidate left his private equity firm–and what it means.

Romney Left Bain Later Than He Says, Documents Show
    http://www.motherjones.com/mojo/2012/07/romney-bain-about-when-romney-left-firm-documents-show

    which backreferences
Romney Invested in Medical-Waste Firm That Disposed of Aborted Fetuses, Government Documents Show
And these documents challenge Romney’s claim that he left Bain Capital in early 1999.
    http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2012/07/romney-bain-abortion-stericycle-sec

    which then back links to
Mitt Romney’s Bain Capital Invested In Stericycle, A Company Now Targeted By Anti-Abortion Activists
    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/01/17/mitt-romney-bain-capital-stericycle_n_1211228.html

    that last article dated 01/17/12
And was written by Sam Stein who doesn’t back link further.

now what is odd is that a left secular publishing website would be the mouthpiece for someone attributed in the article as “director of the Campaign to Stop Stericycle, an offshoot of the evangelistic organization Repent America.”

referencing Repents website, the article says this goes back to 2010 or so.

so is that enough to make it all kind of fishy and a obvious distraction from the actual issues this post started with and in other posts, like buildups.

What has every one of the prior progressive presidents done? Woodrow Wilson, two terms, thanks to World War I. Franklin D. Roosevelt, three terms, thanks to World War II.

    on a related note:
    Rush Limbaugh

While everybody’s worried about who the vice presidential nominee is gonna be and whether or not the nominee’s pro-life, pro-choice, pro-Martian, everybody is worried about whether Mitt Romney left Bain Capital in 1999 or 1998 or 2001, Barack Obama continues his systematic dismantling of the private sector economy of the United States of America.

Obama administration guts work requirements for Clinton-era welfare reform
    http://hotair.com/archives/2012/07/13/obama-administration-guts-work-requirements-for-clinton-era-welfare-reform/

The administration’s decision follows other recent executive actions on immigration, marriage, religion, education and energy policies. In each case, President Obama has put his own “imperial presidency” ahead of Congress and federal law.

Is an imperial presidency the head of a sovereign democracy. Did i ever mention that before?

According to Surkov, sovereign democracy is:

..a society’s political life where the political powers, their authorities and decisions are decided and controlled by a diverse Russian nation for the purpose of reaching material welfare, freedom and fairness by all citizens, social groups and nationalities, by the people that formed it.

Leon Aron writes that “Russian wits like to say, ‘sovereign democracy’ and ‘democracy’ are as different as ‘electric chair’ and ‘chair.'”

  10. Artfldgr is right – The attacks are to establish Romney’s exit date as late in 1999 to that they can attack him closer to election day on Bain’s investment in Stericycle.
    http://tinyurl.com/7jv2g4z

I agree that Romney demanding an apology while insulting the Obama campaign for such a desperate charge is great. When was the last time you heard a Republican demand an apology? Well-played!

  11. The Obama campaign and their communications wing, the MSM, are also asking for Romney’s complete tax returns. If I was Romney I would agree to release my tax returns when President Obama releases his college transcripts and the records of how his college tuition, board, and room were paid for.

You know who gets to ask you for your records, such as: College grades, past employment history, records of achievement, and recommendations from former teachers, employers, friends, etc? Your EMPLOYER does. You know who employs the president of the U.S.? We, the American people, do. (At least that’s the way it’s supposed to work.) We have the right to see the records behind anyone wanting to lead our nation. We have a right to see Romney’s tax records and we have a right to see Obama’s college transcripts as well as many other facts. Wouldn’t we like to know: Who paid for his college [Occidental, Columbia, & Harvard], what his college grades were, what passport he used on his trip around the world [including Pakistan which at that time was off limits to U.S. citizens], who paid for that trip, why he uses the social security number of a dead man from Connecticut, why he surrendered his license to practice law, and many more such questioons that might reveal who he is. These are questions he refuses to answer. He pledged to have the most open, transparent administration in history and yet, he won’t divulge things that any employer would like to know about anyone they are contemplating hiring.

His record of achievement as President is lacking. (He did get bin Laden. Or rather he gave the order for Seal Team Six to get him.) He was an unknown quantity in 2008 but was able to get elected on a platform of hope and change. How’s that working out for us? We don’t know that much more about him today, except that his progressive policies are not working, his economic policy consists of how to more equally divide a shrinking economic pie, and his idea of bipartisanship is for the Republicans to “compromise” their principles.

This felony charge is laughable, but should elicit some sharp counter punching. Time to take off the gloves and demand that Obama answer questions about his past.

  12. “If I was Romney I would agree to release my tax returns when President Obama releases his college transcripts and the records of how his college tuition, board, and room were paid for.”

Yes. I’ve wanted to see BHO’s transcripts from day 1. As far as payments are concerned, we already know the answer: tax payers.

  13. Powerline Blog has been all over this.

    Here’s how it works.

I hear the top of the hour news spew Barrack Obama’s assinine words about Romney.

Then I don’t hear any counter reporting about the Washington Post or all the fact checkers giving Barack 3 thumbs down or whatever.

They just let Obama’s words linger…. and the people who don’t pay attention hear the possibility that Romney might be either lying or a criminal

  14. >>>> Romney kicked a lesbian eskimo in grade school and is a member of the Illuminati?

And if THAT doesn’t work, then it’s
“Romney kicked an Illuminati in grade school and is secretly a lesbian eskimo.”
    😀

  15. >>>> He pledged to have the most open, transparent administration in history and…

… won’t allow Holder to release information about Fast and Furious.

    ‘Nuff said.

  16. This isn’t really relevant to the topic, but I recommend Roger Kimball’s article at PJ Media:

    Battling the Amoeba

Be sure to read all of the comments. We are rapidly devolving into a Third World country, as overbearing laws create an increasing disregard for and contempt for the law in general.

The word “gleichschaltung” makes an appearance.

  17. I swear i didn’t say anything about Gleichshaltung there 🙂

Just think of a corporatist farm where the cattle get charged permits and tickets based on their social behaviors and so on… add to it the ability to cull the herd along trendy aesthetic lines rather than merits constant move forward through improvement replacing that of less ability naturally

people dont realize that the condition is much like making water cool down till it changes to ice.

and i have used this analogy before.

people assume a smooth span with proportional changes as the norm (like a dimmer switch). but nature and systems also have another form of behavior (explored in chaos theory), and that is the condition of a state change.

if you convince people that the perfect glass of tea or the perfect level of law or size of state is at 30 degrees (sea level pressure)…

    then you have trapped them

from 110 down to 33 they will only see this dimmer switch slide… but at a certain point, rather than get colder, a state change occurs, and it becomes ice before it ever reaches 30

at the other end of it is civil chaos which is boiling point state change.

we already have enough laws, and agencies with illegal delegated power to define law, and councils (soviets) down to local groupings of homes… (ie. national/federal, state, county, city, jurisdiction, housing project, building committee… in rural area replace building commitee with some homeowners groups)

we already let them normalize the use of taxes as a means of gathering money by more and more invented revenue streams for purposes not really allowed constitutionally. we already have let them normalize the use of taxes as a means of population control, eugenics, social engineering, palliative euthanasia, and even forcing choices in birth control (free rubbers distorts the market).

the feminist pc social force controls what we think, what we say, and now has more and more backing of law… because what they did was move the ideal of the court, into the real world… that was the point behind the argument of a woman wearing whatever she wants and be free to wander wherever without any regard for what can happen… that was applying a court room condition, to living in the outside world. many more women were attacked because of it. in the real world, the victim CAN change their chances and outcomes. the higher victim rate and its generating more such cases for court, creates the desire for a police state to apply the ideas of the local system to the real world as a way of living, not as a way of punishing wrong behavior.

so now the court decides what is proper behavior. which is why the feminist in the UK got in so much trouble when she gave an islamic family a feminist shout down and was arrested on hate crime statutes.

you see… she acted the way she acted because the state empowered her to act on other people, and we normalized it and even accepted it till it became her culture. her ideology also somehow decided to take up multuculturalism and so on. so laws that work cross purposes were made. she didnt know she was demoted in the hierarchy of whats important (because there are a lot more poor foreigners than pissed off middle class white women – ie their base is shrinking and are no longer a concern worth milking compared to the people having babies).

so her impositional trump card was neutralized by the state in favor of their race card.

and everyone is just trying to figure out how to adjust the law so that everyone can exist by some set of confucian rules and all will be well.

but with so many knobs and goals they are all now working cross purposes… the feminists now are demoted and used up, and are quizzical at this not understanding even they the users were used… and the other group is now in its ascendency and being courted and favored for their future representation.

obama just moved to extend title IX and increase women in stem… but women get 58% of the degrees… (when i was to go it was 17% – were did all us men who would have gone to school go? i know what happened to me in this social engineering experiment, and i also know that china is pounding us now in science, math, engineering, etc… and earnedly so). meanwhile, at the acendency of women to all the highest paying jobs in exchange for not having kids… (and losing power)… they will be paying the highest taxes to support men and welfare women having lots of babies…

all this is the symptom and outcome of the power already making its adjustments. its adjustments are working cross purposes now… and are maladaptive of the future. and its all going the same pc progressive way… which is gleichsaltung…

  18. Speaking of Gleichshaltung, may I recommend the reading of “In the Garden of Beasts” by Erik Larson, which covers the experiences of the Dodd family in 1933-34. Dodd was a naive U Chi history professor who became ambassador to Germany. It is a remarkable, detailed read that is eminently readable. I came away thunderstruck by the US trust in the basic soundness of the German people, and the trust, from FDR on down, that the early Hitler Regierung was a rational bunch.

It is applicable to our times.

  19. The Obama campaign is attacking Romney using Alinsky tactics. Is Romney really using ‘jujitsu’ on them in return? Hardly. That is a good idea though. What should he do? My suggestion would be to educate the public. Tell them exactly what Obama is doing. Make a clear case that they are using Alinsky tactics. Make people second guess everything that Obama says about Romney. Have Romney say let’s get back to the real story: Obama doing a poor job.
