  1. Neo,

Cute. I love it when you say you’re nervous. 🙂

50 million voters will watch tonight right?

And what about those camera angles that have Obama looking at the camera directly and had McCain looking small and distant.

    See!

It MUST be pointed out by commentators afterwards that these cameramen and or the director are manipulative. I’m tired of the pervasive cheating in every facet of the presidential race.

From the squashing of military voters to the camera angles during a debate to the voter id law being overturned in PA. Horrible.

  2. Romney just needs to articulate his vision for how to create jobs and his differences with Obama in how wealth is created. As Clint said, government works for us not the other way round. Point out Obama’s lackluster record on the economy. Tell people to check their healthcare insurance costs during open enrollment (now). Ask them if they see any prospect for business to start hiring under the policies that Obama pursues (increased spending, higher taxes, increased regulation). Make it all about jobs and who has the better plan for creating them!

  3. If I were Romney I would walk to the exact same spots Obama did so that the camera folks could be CALLED OUT afterward for their angles on Obama vs. Romney.

  4. WOW. Look at this NUGGET

Here’s another example of fake news. On Jan. 10, 2010, the Sunday Globe ran a front-page story about Marsha Coakley’s commanding lead in the Senate race with nine days to go.

“Democrat Martha Coakley … enjoys a solid, 15-percentage-point lead over Republican rival Scott Brown as the race for U.S. Senate enters the homestretch, according to a new Boston Globe poll of likely voters. … Coakley’s lead grows to 17 points – 53 to 36 – when undecideds leaning toward a candidate are included in the tally.”

Nine days later, Scott Brown won, 53-47.

  5. The MSM hype doesn’t matter this time around. The Obama zombie brigand will shuffle to the polls and vote accordingly. The anybody but Obama crowd will briskly head to the polls on November 6 and vote accordingly. The debates are for the 2-5% who are looking for a reason to vote against Obama. IMO they are looking for a reason to actually show up on November 6. All they need to see is that Romney is calm, confident, and intelligent.

PS – I doubt Romney is nervous, I’m guessing he is confident and well prepared.

  6. I’m too nervous to watch the debate as well, so I have opted to watch the Yankees/Sox game and be nervous for something a lot more superficial (go Yanks). I would rather read the aftermath commentary here, which will a lot more accurate and thoughtful than watching anything on TV.

  7. You have to be very analytical and a good numbers man to turn around companies that are in trouble.

I have no doubt that Romney knows which answers will give him the best impact on the voters he needs to win.

If he adds a pleasant and confident demeanor to that, he’ll do well tonight.

  8. Romney sounds tense to my ear, but Obama sounds plain confused and shallow. I have the impression he is operating more from memorized debating points than from understanding.

  9. Well. Good debate, IMO Romney won it by a definite margin. Whether that’s bias speaking or a somewhat objective observation time will tell. The real question however is what will independents think? Romney did what he had to do, offer a viable alternative. Romney was Presidential.

  10. I didn’t/couldn’t watch so.I had a stogey and a drink.outside on a pleasant evening and come back to the news that Romney will win the election. A good day for our nation
