Gloria Allred tries to implement Obama’s absolute favorite campaign tactic — 13 Comments

  1. I reflect now how wrong Gingrich would have been.

Romney understood all along that the contest was not between him and Obama, but between him and “the people.” That last line of the last debate was magnificent and underscores the point: I will lead you in an honest way. While sidestepping Obama and making him vestigial, Romney’s direct appeal to the people, making it about the people, putting the people first, ended up knocking Obama out.

It’s the integrity and humanity of Romney, along with massive competence, which has achieved success.

Rush predicts an overwhelming business surge when Romney wins.

  2. I agree with the professor that it looks like this has blown up in Allred’s face. If she can’t do one of her infamous press conferences (with the victim standing silently, sullenly by her side) she loses her fangs.

Hope the judge will ( can) run out the clock on her.

Anyway, Ryan loves personhood. He loves the idea that life begins before pregnancy begins, when the sperm touches the egg. Because, to paraphrase Amanda Marcotte, sperm is magic.

there are posts out there that put both in the same camp as bad 1s

  4. I love how Trump trumped Allred’s big announcement with his frivolous offer. Stole her thunder and made the whole enterprise look silly. And I wonder who leaked the story that Romney rejected the Obama as cocaine dealer story just this week – such perfect timing, no?

Looks like Romney and his campaign team have really studied the Obama/Democrat/MSM campaign playbooks are learned how to blunt their effectiveness. Bravo!

  5. Woman scorned is putting it mildly. 25 years and she is still bitter and wants to revisit her divorce settlement. Talk about being stuck in the past and not taking responsibility for one’s own life. And she is self-righteous to boot. I feel sorry for her son. He has borne the brunt of her insanity.

  6. Weekly Standard has the court transcript. It goes into details about all the restrictions placed on stock sales and stock pricing.

  7. So sad that Romney himself doesn’t have any divorce records to unseal, so they have to go for surrogates. Romney is so squeaky-clean it’s ridiculous; must have the Obama campaign fuming.

    I’ve thought this too.

Too bad bin Laden hadn’t been divorced. Then Barry could’ve gotten him a lot sooner.

  8. Best quote from the article:
“It appears that the Judge didn’t lift the gag order because Allred had not actually filed a motion to lift the gag order. The only motion was by The Globe for access to the transcript.”

My guess would be that Allred thought the judge would sit on the request till after the election. She knew she didn’t have anything, but figured she could keep bluffing as long as no one knew what was in the court records.

  9. Well, looks like its not turning out so well for her.
the double the hoisting of the petard!

Gloria Allred gets shut down by judge on Mitt Romney’s case gag order

However, things did not fare well for Allred as the judge not only shut down her request to lift the gag order, but released the testimony transcripts to the Boston Globe. Apparently, Allred is now accusing the Globe of pulling a “double-cross” since the paper allegedly abandoned a motion to have the gag order on Stemberg’s ex wife, Maureen, lifted.

Allred and the ex conspired to have a gag order removed so that she could mouth off and neutralize Romney like several others were neutralized by women (Herman Cain is one, can anyone name the others in the past decade? Farther back i guess you can look to a supreme court nominee).

Too far fetched? Well guess who was a client of Allred? Sharon Bialek… (check out when)

This is like the person who gets insurance money from an accidental poisoning and then thinks a few more times, no one will notice, and just look at the gain.

well, now it blew up in a way that she probably doesn’t like much. the gag order remains and the records of the case are now unsealed and so people will be able to read that (and her client wont get to mouth off).

  10. Win by any means is Gloria Allred…

She’s no different than Lance Armstrong.

Distort the results – let’s just corrupt the entire process.

I don’t know how Gloria thinks she’ll go to heaven.

No conscience. But of course – her conscience probably is clear because she “cares” about something.

  11. What I thought was most interesting in this legal story was the reason for the divorce: The court found that the wife had been cruel and abusive toward her husband.
