What do you say to this?
I know what I say. Despite my love for candy corn, I shout a resounding “NO!!” to the above product, a sorry invention that is neither fish (candy corn) nor fowl (oreo) but some dreadful hybrid known as a candy corn oreo.
Do not buy. Stick with the classics.

I was thinking about your old post regarding the proper way to eat candy corn – point first or base first? The reason I was thinking of it was because, over the weekend, I noticed that my own preferred method seems to be to slam a dozen of them in my mouth in no particular order and chew rapidly.
How are you doing with the weather? My cousin in midtown Manhattan is holed up for the duration and having a “hurricane party”. Here in Ohio, I’m a little disappointed that it has not been as interesting as predicted. And after I got the canned food and batteries and generator, too!
Be well.

My first thought was “Where’s the chocolate?” Candy corn is a dfferent animal all together, and confusing the two is not going to sell.
Hope you are well and not freezing.

I say it’s spinach, and I say to hell with it.
Hope you arre well and and warm, neo.

Heh. The kids will love it. Kids’ll eat anything sweet and junky. I’m assuming it will be limited to the immediate Halloween period.
Other than that… commercial disaster!

I used to scoff at the “specialty Oreos” (I am an Oreo purist) and then I tried the limited edition Orange Dreamsicle version. Yum!
The golden Oreos are not bad either.
Agree with suek…my kids would inhale candy corn Oreos and most other sugary combos.

The only Oreo variant I care for is the mint flavored one. Peppermint and chocolate are just so *good* together.

My son would eat those – all things Oreo are inhaled.
I’m guessing you wouldn’t be interested in this take on candy corn, either: http://www.marthastewart.com/933581/crisp-candy-corn-treats

I’m willing to give it a try – it’s got sugar. Maybe with a dark ale. But then I like grape jelly in cottage cheese.

Tesh nailed it. The minty ones rule.

Hmmm, I wonder if you got my e-mail of several weeks back. I sent you a link to an item about these Candy Corn Oreos, but also a link to instructions for making a Candy Corn Cheesecake.

Kurt: I don’t remember that, but thanks.
I am, however, a candy corn purist extraordinaire.

Vis a vis Halloween, I remember something a Weight Watchers instructor said. It deserves a place among the world’s great quotations: “Kids don’t like chocolate. They like things like gummy worms. If you buy chocolate, you’re buying it for yourself.”
