The Obama administration says hey,… — 11 Comments

  1. Sure. The only valid laws are the ones that they like and further their political viewpoint. Everything else will be eradicated eventually anyway, so why bother complying?

  2. Anyone too dense to appreciate the irony of a Democrat politician being ‘for the poor’ should not be voting… or left to think for himself. Restrict the franchise.

  3. Neo, two of the links (first and last) are not working for me. (the links seem to want to go the your site with Powerline as part of the link as well)

  4. The telling quote from Raspail’s “The Camp of the Saints”: “You have so much, and we are so poor”.

The liberals buy into the childish fantasy that there is an eternally vast supply of everything just waiting to be accessed by those selfish, lazy adults in their lives. When Mom or Dad say “No” to anything, the kids KNOW they’re just being mean, petty and vindictive – or trying to teach some silly useless lesson about responsibility or something.

By golly when THEY (these kids) grow up, they’re not going to treat their kids –or anybody– that way, nosirree.

So we get Professional Liberals who say essentially: “Oh, you can’t feed your people, despite the American foreign aid we send? Oh, yeah, you have to pad that Swiss bank account in case you’re ousted, we can understand that. Just send your huddled masses over here, ’cause Nanny State and Sugar Daddy will certainly do the right thing and give your miserable outcasts (who of course cling to their cultural habits and customs, thus bringing their failed culture along with them) everything they need. It’s the American way, you know: we *ARE* so rich (that $16 trillion thing is just a made-up number — the jokers who made it up can un-make it any time they like), and it’s obvious that all these starving Third-Worlders *ARE* desperately poor. We as good citizens of the world have a duty to bring the indigent here, where we can feed and clothe and house them. We have an obligation to be sure they have medical care, transportation, and education. Plus, we’ll also need teams of translators, and a bureaucracy-full of welfare advocates to help them “access the benefits they deserve” from our various social support systems. It’s only right, it’s only fair, it’s the MORAL THING TO DO!!!”

From the “no-causes, no-consequences” liberal point of view, importing thousands of unskilled immigrants is “good” in and of itself. And if it’s good, it ought to be free. Like air and sunshine, food-water-housing-medical care should “just come” as Absolute Rights Guaranteed By Government. And you selfish bastards whose diminishing paychecks are being tapped to pay for “spreading the wealth” across the globe, should just shut up — because the do-gooders are out there in the trenches doing GOOD! They’re actively fixing the world! And you? All you’re doing is sitting around bitching about the cost. Shame on you.

  5. “One would almost think that this administration would like to turn the whole country into California: broke and voting overwhelmingly Democratic, more and more dependent on Democratic big government.”

    Ya think?

  6. IMO all presidents have been issuing executive orders to subvert the proper role of congress. BHO is taking this to the extreme, but he is after all an extremist.

  7. The Left does not want to be bothered with pesky, ichy, things like elections after all. They all ready have California, Illinois, NY, Massachusetts, as templates. The US needs to be these states writ large. Where it will always be the Left in power.
“Some pigs are more equal than others.”

  8. When my wife got her green card, I had to sign an affidavit of support, i.e. any welfare would be paid for by me, not the taxpayer, even if we had divorced.

There are other laws about this as well…so which is it?

Immigrants can get the bennies or not?

Wish we had a media willing to search for answers.

  9. RE: the Powerline links –why can’t some computer-savvy conservatives just say F-it and hack the DHS pages pimping for immigrant welfare cases???

  10. John Hinderaker: For the first time in my lifetime, we have a federal government that feels no compunction about disregarding its own laws.

Providing information is not “disregarding” the law.

Cobacoba98: Wish we had a media willing to search for answers.

    Or just look it up.

Most immigrants are not eligible for benefits, but some, such as political refugees, are eligible.
