I’m shocked, shocked! — 7 Comments

  1. Moe Lane summed it up this morning as: “Shorn of its finger waggling, the article indicates that Mitch McConnell was looking forward to running against somebody who: has really strange opinions on coal, parenting, and American society; a history of mental depression and frankly mildly erratic behavior; and had made somewhat demeaning cracks about the state that she wanted to run in. “

  2. You will note the author of the story, David Corn, and will recall his nonchalant dishonesty during l’affaire Plame.

  3. I still shock easily. I am not hardened. I am defeated and disappointed. A wretched place to be in the twilight of my life.

  4. Bet these same shocked Lefties thought it was OK to analyze Sara Palin’s pregnancy (Trig’s), her older daughter’s pregnancy, and thousands of email communications (even after she left office), because she’s a public figure.

  5. One should look into the record of the person who used illegal search warrants that got Ayers immunity from terrorist prosecution and how that tied in with the overall function and ethics of the FBI at the time.

These spy like functions were spread across a wide time frame in American history. Nixon’s primary problem was that he didn’t act on his enemies list and perhaps trusted too many of the wrong people in the FBI to get things done legally.

Wouldn’t it be ironic if his licensed or unlicensed actions were found out because the FBI themselves were the experts on these internal espionage acts.

Who did it benefit, I wonder, in the end.
