Benghazi whistleblowers… — 12 Comments

  1. Put Joe McCarthy, I mean Ted Cruz, on it.

“What difference does it make” and “politics of meaning” Hillary Clinton went all apeshit while Congress went dumbshit when they were supposedly investigating the matter.

Well, don’t get defensive Mrs Rodham. Single mother Obama has got your back. Those chiseled arms do more than just flaunt a sleveless dress, see. See. You get it. Nobody threatens Michelle O.

  2. Glad this is coming out. Also, really glad this person got him/herself a serious lawyer instead of someone like Gloria Alred.

  3. “The board [Accountability Review Board] was an internal State Department review panel led by former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Thomas Pickering… contained no conclusions that suggested administration officials had willfully endangered their colleagues in Benghazi or had misled the public or Congress.”

    (bold mine)

Pickering? The Obama Administration (Clinton) appointed Pickering? The Pickering who called America a hotbed of ‘Islamophobia’ Pickering? The Pickering who said: “There are strong efforts as well that we must make to deal with opinion leaders who harbor these [anti-Islam] prejudices, who espouse them and spread them,”” – The zero tolerance Pickering?

    From Front Page Mag:
Pickering also praised… American Association for Muslim Advancement executive director Daisy Khan, and her husband, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, chairman of the Cordoba Initiative (Ground Zero Victory Mosque), as “wonderful people” whose “hopes and aspirations … we all, I believe, widely share.”

Well rest easy everyone Pickering was on it.

What a joke. If the House doesn’t start flexing its muscles on this I will abandon all hope.

  4. Will this force the hand of the media? Will Benghazi finally get covered? I am so shocked and sickened by the silence about this scandal, which ought to have been recognized as huge from the beginning.
Maybe when gearing up for the primaries begins, the press will take it up. They won’t let their precious one be exposed to danger, but Hillary is more expendable.

  5. Occasionally I find myself in a state of wonderment over the way Obama and his crew are permitted to operate without any expectation of accountability. Right now we are talking about Benghazi, a virtual smorgasbord of craven deceits. Of course, there was also Operation Fast and Furious, another disaster that should have led to multiple high-level resignations. There’s Obamacare, which we’re now finding will lead to to vastly HIGHER costs for health insurance policies and will force people off their current plans. There’s Syria, where Obama is having to turn a blind eye to the use of chemical weapons to avoid making good on his previous warnings against such use. There’s the obvious failure of Obama’s economic policies to reduce real unemployment or produce significant growth. There’s a host of “minor” scandals, like Pigford, Obamaphones, the dropping of the Black Panther voter intimidation charges, the Ft. Hood shooting case, and so on.

It seems a mystery how this gang can bounce from one scandalous failure to another with total impunity, but then I realize what’s behind all of that. The MSM has collectively decided that the U.S. government needs to be owned and operated by the Dem Party, exclusively. Achieving what amounts to one-party rule is the “end” that will justify the “means” of abandoning any traditional sense of civic virtue, responsible governance, or public accountability. I’m pretty sure that a lot of liberals actually don’t appeciate a lot of the things that Obama is doing, but they see those things as the lesser of two evils, the other being a resurgence of the GOP’s electoral prospects.

The question will be whether, at some point, something will cause a crack to form in the dam wall and whether, if that happens, the accumulated weight of all his failures will prove to be too much.

  6. The three time periods: before, during, and after.

You couldn’t make this stuff up more gobsmacking than it is.

  7. Congress needs to push back against the imperial presidency and start acting like an equal branch of government. The House needs to conduct real investigations by using its subpoena power and impeachment if necessary to undercover evidence and force testimony. 4 dead in Benghazi is the way to neuter the messiah and forestall HRC in 2016.

  8. ” If the House doesn’t start flexing its muscles on this I will abandon all hope.”
Sorry George Pal , while I agree with you in principle, given the following:
MSM’s ability to “Not report the News” and sleep well.
The Dems approach to protectng their own first and the hell with the Facts.
And Boener’s ability to flex his muscles by grabbing his ankles and saying “Thank you Sir (Obozo) may I have another.
Nothing will come of this. I hope I am wrong, but when you have one Party that has no principles and another Party that is afraid of their shadows, where would one look for a leader?
And as time goes on, they feel emboldend- The state dept is refusing to clear the private lawyers to those whistleblowers so the information can get out. The only question is when will this “soft” Tyrant feel emboldend enough to become a “hard” tyrant? And will the general population see this or will they just say- More bread and circuses please?

  9. I am shocked, shocked, I tell you. It’s the Chicago way, baby! One party rule, no accountability, and the People’s representatives are afraid of being called racists or some such. It is to weep.
