So… — 16 Comments

  1. Congress should get all the facts first, from emails, testimony of other witnesses. Then it would have all the information it needs to ask the right questions. Don’t let her wiggle out of this.

  2. Goober and McCain had their shot, wimped out, and now they’re calling for somebody else to take on the shrew. Very courageous leaders we have in the senate.

  3. So……subpoena her, already.

But if she gets subpoenaed, she will get the vapors. Or something. Only a male chauvinist pig would want to put poor lil’ Hillary under the pressure of being forced to account for her statements and for her actions.

  4. I think HRC will be subpoenaed eventually but as the DrB notes, get all the Ps & Qs squared away first and then put her under oath. I’m looking forward for yet another definition of is just before she throws Barry under the bus.

  5. And a host of other people- the military chain of command, Cheryl mills, ben Rhodes, Jay effing Carney…

  6. Do you think the GOP really wants to go after this or do just enough to appease some people? It does seem almost too tepid and slow-motion. But maybe the career guys coming forward were a necessary first step, and it took awhile to get to them (Of course).

  7. David Patraeus is now a professor at USC. Down through history we see so many people in these kinds of positions not held accountable and then moving on to the the next lucrative and honorable position.

  8. Krauthammer said get Hillary last. After everything’s been done. Otherwise, it will be all theater and the dems and msm would be able to obfuscate and discredit it.

  9. These people are lawyers. They well recognize the dangers of paper trails and the importance of plausible deniability. Never forget what Hillary made famous, to me at least, when testifying at the time of WJC’s troubles: “I don’t remember.” That is insufficient grounds for perjury, and is no pleading of the 5th. There is no sanction for a selectively poor memory, and I shall use it too if ever in an embarrassing position on a witness stand.

  10. IMO 4 dead in Benghazi is the tipping point. Either the maladministration of Team Obama will crumble under its venal incompetency for its conspiracy to cover up Benghazi or it will, with MSM assistance, continue to lurch from the golf course to celebrity WH dinners to the teleprompter appearances at all points of the compass touting laser focus on jobs to a big loss in 2014. The 3 year old tantrums will be thoroughly entertaining.

  11. Bottom line from the piece by Peggy Noonan linked by holmes at 6:40 pm:

“They can’t give answers when the story’s fresh because it just happened, they’re looking into it. Eight months later they don’t have anything to say because it all happened so long ago. Think of how low your opinion of the American people has to be to think you can get away, forever, with that.”

  12. Oh, I think they have a pretty good bead on the Obot voters.

After all, Americans voted Hussein into office, Twice, and that After the September 11th attacks. Yep, they know their customers, all right.

Mind you, I’m still rooting for the good guys. But hey! the Dims got away with taking treasonous Communist Cuban money in the 19709s, by changing the subject to Richard Nixon (who, unlike Hussein, didn’t even authorize the Watergate break-in). Because those five guys, who were trying to find evidence of the Dims’ alliance with a foreign enemy, were Far More Outrageous than the Dims’ continuing High Treason.

  13. If GWB was such a liar then democrats should have loved him. Their whole life is a lie.

  14. For me, the republican leadership in the senate telegraphed their true intentions about Benghazi by not insisting she testify under oath. It wasn’t a serious attempt to get to the truth. It was just a few hours of grandstanding, agreed to by both parties under the all important country club rules of the senate. The idea is to stage a farce for the public, so they can get back to the daily business of jerking each other off.
If it weren’t for a couple of diligent reporters, they would have considered their Benghazi performance complete.

  15. It would be interesting to have her testifying last, knowing that every thing she is asked has already been answered and triple-checked.
