Welcoming 2014 — 13 Comments

  1. We survived 2000. We survived 2012. 2013 we survived, and the Chinese did not like that year at all.

    2014?

    The West returns.

  2. Just staggered up out of sleep after last night surprise celebrations and am phoning friends and loved ones to welcome them to the new year….. but now I am reminded I have a large load of yesterevenings laundry I have to put in the dryer.,… see you….

  3. All of the non-zero digits of 2013 are prime numbers.

    That made it cool.

    2014 is pedestrian and boring.

    IMAO

  4. “13 was a rotten number for the USA.”

Shouldn’t be. Thirteen original states, reflected in the thirteen stripes still on the flag. If you’re talking about Obama, it’s been rotten since 2009.

  5. It is of some interest what is going on now in Serbia? Is it much different than 100 years ago? Or there is a disgrunted nationalist waiting to put the world history on a very different track?

  6. I like the new comers: Patricia Hinnant, who’s been attindeng school board meetings for 12 years, and Kyle Williams, a 22 year old Pennsauken High School graduate that sees things from a different perspective. Also, I would like to see Stephanie James Wilson return, who’s up on the educational needs of the kids but not into the political control & conflicts of interest like Danny O’Brien & Allyson Meloni. I don’t know much about Carlos Rodgriguez except that he’s an architect that was involved with the new Water Commission building on Westfield Ave. BUT I’ll make my final decision after I see how they answer the questions posed by the Pennsauken Republican Club.
