Everly Brothers documentary
If you want to take a look back—and I mean way back—at the lives and times of the Everly Brothers, this is an in-depth documentary. I hadn’t realized they were part of a family act in their early teens. Fascinating stuff for Everly fans (and who isn’t an Everly fan?):

I never knew about the Brothers’ family and Appalachian mountain roots, which explains their wonderful tight harmony. Scots-Irish all the way, huh?
I just knew them as terrific pop artists way back then (late 1950s), about the same time I discovered early Bluegrass on clear-channel 50,000 watt WWVA radio, which I could get Saturday nights if I took our only radio up to the 2nd floor and the signal-reflective cloud cover was right.

They were/are the real deal.
The Everyly Brothers were Kentucky country boys who blended folk and rockabilly into their never duplicated sound; a sound that inspired a wide variety of musicians with their incredible harmonies. They, unlike Elvis under the thumb of ‘Colonel’ Tom Parker, followed their hearts.
