Completely predictable. I wish we’d some day get to see that tape the LA Times is guarding in its vaults, but whenever we do it will be way too late. At any rate, what matters more than the past is what Obama has been doing lately, and what he’s planning in the future.

I’m a big fan of Glick and I haven’t even seen a review of Glick’s book but…while I entirely agree with her premise that Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) is desirable, the idea that it will lead to peace is ludicrous. That is wishful thinking at best.
I entirely agree that the ‘two-state’ solution is a chimera.
But on amazon’s page Glick states,
“polling data that shows the Palestinian people admire Israeli society and governance.”
But just before that states,
“the long history of Palestinian anti-Semitism, refusal to negotiate in good faith, terrorism, and denial of Israel’s right to exist.
– Disregard for Israel’s stronger claims to territorial sovereignty under international law, as well as the long history of Jewish presence in the region.”
People who engage in the above, do not admire those they hate. They may admire the material abundance and the lack of corruption but they do not admire the Israeli people. And their hate is the crux of the matter. Glick is forgetting Golda’s insight;

Beverly I’ve been praying that for years. In January 2008, I began fasting and praying on Tuesdays when I realized that George Soros was behind Obama’s bid for the presidency and I knew, short of a miracle intervention of God, we would have him as President. We have “free will” so the only cure is as you state, our voting citizens get in touch with reality and exercise citizenship accordingly. Still fasting Tuesdays because I care about my kids and grandkids.
