Bounces off me and sticks to you
The title of this post comes from an obnoxious children’s rhyme we used to recite whenever someone called us a bad name and we wanted to deflect the charge more effectively than with “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me” (hmmm, come to think of it, whatever happened to that classic response to bullying?). The alternative favorite was, “I’m rubber, you’re glue, bounces off me and sticks to you.”
A nice, all-purpose reply, with a song-song cadence that made it sound like teasing, too. It could be repeated ad nauseam till the taunter went away in frustration.
But I digress.
What made me think of this today was seeing, in a very quick scan of the memeorandum page, the following two items:

Democrats have remained passive in the face of vast amounts of corporate money? Republicans like to promise things they can’t deliver?
If you know anything about the sources of Democrat money (see also this), or about Democratic promises that don’t deliver (and who doesn’t, after Obama?), it is to laugh. Except that the Big Lie is never funny.

Ahh sh*t. Next the Democrats will tell us that, compared to the Kochs, George Soros’ funds are severely limited, and we need to send $ to help li’l ol’ Soros out in his fight against oligarchs, just like he fought the Nazis etc etc etc..
The NYT got one thing right though; the Dems fight for few basic principles, damn few. Matter of fact, I can’t think of even one.
The Democrat strategy comes straight from Joseph Goebbels. “A lie, repeated often enough, becomes the truth.” The similarities don’t end there unfortunately.
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. Goebbels said a lot of other things that are extremely interesting, including this about the press:

it was incompatible with feminists claiming that words are abuse and that husbands who say things that are not nice, whether truthful or not, are abusers.
the concept was expanded to gender for homosexuals and onward for things like IQ, if your speaking about subsaharan africans.
you can see it easily that women LIKE totalitarianism… as they fear the world more than men do, and wish to fix it, like it was their own space.
i hear it in the news from the talking faces discussing how we cant use the term bossy.

you only have to list out the changes.
men: free speech protected. especially the stuff thats not liked
women: you cant say anything they dont approve of, and the list never stops growing as they never stop finding things they dont like (And never find stuff they do)
men: one earner could support a family, so you had homes, familiies, leisure time, and low taxes
women: bored, they entered the workforce in masse and depressed salaries to the point two earners are needed. when their mates could not earn like before, they kissed them off for the bbd of government… who as a husband of a harem, didnt have sex, gave them money, didnt care what they did, and would attack the old hubby… note that now the women are taking the higher paid jobs at the same time they have taxes raised to record levels so they can pay it
men: people had few relationships and even fewer sexual ones, desease rates low, rape and abuse rates much lower, people at risk were accompanies for their safety..
women: have lots of relationships and many sexual partrners they dont want, and who cause them to be bad mates later. desease rates are for the majority, child sex is a social good except when not, etc
you can go on and on..
and yet they still say its a mans world
i guess we are not allowed to say its not..
are we?

Rule of Thumb aka Rock Solid Law of the Universe when it comes to Democrat Liberals criticizing anyone about anything at anytime ever: They are guilty of the thing to the max, and you aren’t.
If a Dem says you are racist, the truth is that you are not racist and they are.
If a Dem says you don’t care about “the poor” the truth is that you do care about the poor and they do not.
If a Dem says their candidate is better qualified, the truth is that their candidate is a socialist “community organizer” who could not get a 7-11 Store through a weekend profitably let alone a country like the and your guy ran a State or fought in a war.
Why we don’t simply point out these known facts to Liberals every time they do what they do is beyond me. If we were in the habit of doing that they might think twice before they peddle the stuff they peddle.

The Kochs are much more “centered” than I am, I can tell you. Were I one of them, Harry Reid would long since have been introduced to the business end of a baseball bat. How can that creature get away with slandering private citizens on the floor of the Senate? Is he protected by some arcane rule? If so, then the rule needs to be revoked.

Indeed.
Solders and Marines accomplished the impossible by breaking out of the Chinese trap at the Chosin Reservoir. Major Lee is one of the reasons.
A textbook leader (literally) of combat Marines. A Marine’s Marine. Placed the mission and his men before himself in the most dire circumstances. Served in WW2, Korea, Vietnam. Set the standard, trained Marines in between wars.
The 1st Chinese American Marines officer, led Marines who had never known a Chinese American against the Chinese in some of the fiercest combat of US military history. His leadership accomplished mission and saved lives.
