Yes, indeed, that’ll do it:
Vice President Joe Biden will visit Guatemala this week to discuss a recent rash of unaccompanied minors crossing the U.S. Southern border from three Central American nations.
Senior administration officials said Biden would meet with Guatemala’s president along with the president of El Salvador and a senior official within Honduras’ government to broach the matter of young children being sent to the United States as a way to flee unrest in those three nations.
The vice president will attempt to dispel a misperception among young immigrants that they would be eligible for deferred deportation under a rule President Obama enacted last year.
Oh, it may be a misperception that they would qualify under that rule. But there is a good chance that they are qualifying under other rules, and receiving services in the meantime. Nothing I have read or heard convinces me that any of them will be deported anytime soon, and perhaps not even anytime later, either. Word will get back to more people in Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras to come on up, the water’s fine.
And Biden—such a persuasive guy! No doubt his heart’s in the right place. From an article published on June 11:
Vice President Joseph R. Biden told a National Association of Manufacturers’ crowd this week that what the United States needed was more, not fewer, immigrants.
Specifically, he called for a “constant, unrelenting stream” of new immigrants ”” “not dribbling [but] significant flows,” to bolster the national economy, The Hill reported.
Maybe he’s going down to thank those countries.
They can keep him – not that it’s a fair trade.
The reason he married DR. Biden is because he needed someone who knew how to tie his shoes.

i saw some photos of these “kids,” They were gang -wise looking young men who were making obscene gestures with their man parts and others were showing the cameras and the whole US their middle fingers.
And there are reports that they are having sex in these camps so that means even more of them.
They are bringing their diseases and their crime and their litter.
They have no skills and no ambition but to get welfare and a free ride and to ruin the culture of this country. They must be sent back.
I dont want my tax dollars to support them. I dont want our daughters raped by them and I dont want them to mow our lawns. We can mow our own damn lawns.
These are not adoarble and adoptable children. They are gang members and have been brought here by obala to ruin this country. They are not dreamers. They are a nightmare.
I see native Spanish speakers pay for groceries with food stamps at a local store.
Several decades ago, I lived next to a greenbelt in a “diverse” neighborhood. It wasn’t a big greenbelt- maybe an acre of grass alongside a cement canal. One time I saw in the greenbelt a mattress with dozens of beer bottles around it. I got a magic marker and wrote on the mattress: “Este parque no es un basurero. Si no quieren limpiar su basura, regresen a Mexico, mojados de mierda.” [This park is not a garbage dump. If you don’t want to clean up your garbage, go back to Mexico: #$%$@# wetbacks.”
A decidedly Politically Incorrect statement, but it got results. Within 24 hours, the mattress and the beer bottles had been removed.
Some immigrants support themselves and integrate themselves into American society- a next door neighbor comes to mind- but she is legal.
But with the current system, all too many end up on government support. Look at Food Stamps.

We have a chicano family in the neighborhood who are here legally. They are hard working people and their teenagers are hard working, and polite and respectful of their elders (like me). In my experience this was true for many years, those who came legally to work and establish a better life were people who commanded respect due to their work ethic. For too long they have been supplanted by those who have no regard for our laws and in too many cases come for hand outs and to commit crimes of opportunity. Neither party has a good track record on illegals. Now we are inviting gang members to cross the border. This will not end well.
We need to coopt the legal immigrants by explaining to them that the new wave will be competing for the same jobs.
With Obamacare in effect, illegals will have a leg up. The legal immigrants won’t stand a chance if employers don’t have to pay the penalties on the illegals.
It should also be noted that this was the position of Caesar Chavez, and for the same reasons (minus Obamacare).
I was reading earlier today that according to a White House aide when Obama sends Biden to solve a problem, it means Obama doesn’t think it’s a problem and there’s nothing to solve.
