Illegal immigrants: crisis, opportunity

Opportunity for what?

I usually take Sunday off, and I plan to take Sunday off, so this post will be much briefer than the situation warrants.

I offer for your perusal this:

Saturday at a press conference from the Rio Grande Valley, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) discussed her tour of a border holding facility and addressed the humanitarian crisis of thousands unaccompanied minors flooding across the U.S.-Mexico border, which she called a “humanitarian opportunity.”

Pelosi explained, “We are all Americans — north and south in this hemisphere,” and urged America to see this as not a crisis but an opportunity “to be helpful.” She also said she wished she could simply “take home” the thousands of children temporarily housed in the overburden facilities.

Actually, she could take home hundreds, but what the hey.

And what’s the plan with this proposal from Obama?:

The Obama administration, in a dramatic escalation of its border-control strategy, will seek more than $2 billion in emergency funds to help stem an influx of Central American women and children entering the country illegally, as well as new measures to more quickly deport those already here, the White House confirmed Saturday.

President Obama intends to notify Congress of his request on Monday, and the administration will ask lawmakers to modify existing statutes to make it easier to return unaccompanied children to their home countries, an administration official said. The administration’s plans were first reported Saturday by the New York Times.

My first question is: is this true? After all, it hasn’t happened yet, and it was reported by the Times. Maybe we should wait for a more reliable source, such as the National Enquirer.

Second question: what’s the angle? We know nothing Obama does is straightforward, unless it’s obviously bad for Republicans and for America. Note that he doesn’t seem to be requesting more funds for border control. And unless the current rules are modified a great deal, and in the direction of making it much easier to deport, this will merely expedite the dispersal of this great influx of illegal immigrants into the vast pool that’s already here. Plus, he faces a lot of possible opposition from his own left, and if the Republicans try to tie it in with greater border security and somehow it does pass, he may veto the bill and blame the failure on them.

    If he wants to transport illegals back to Central America we are gonna have to hire lots of government employees to drive buses. More guarding of the border would stem the flow of illegals, so we won’t pursue that.

  8. $2 billion will allow them to bribe the Mexican government and coyotes to cease and desist from bringing all these wonderful children. People will say, “Wow, Obama did something! He’s not as bad as we thought.” Cue the stories of his courage to make such a “hard choice.” Just in time to crow about for the election,

    You all will call me a crazy old curmudgeon, but I’m thinking the pressure on the dems in Congress was getting way too high. They were telling the Prezzy that he’s got to take the pressure off.

    Bribery works in South and Central America. In my travels about the globe I’ve found that every country that was originally a Spanish colony works on a system of bribes and graft. Talk to the people. They will tell you that it’s “the way things work.” They accept it as a way of life. At least in this country there is an attempt to conceal the graft and corruption. And the average citizen does not accept it as the way things are done. The bribery will work at least until the elections are over. Then…..??

And she wants the American taxpayers to pay their way. As even more proof of this than I previously reported, Pelosi does not want employers like her to be required to pay the cost of illegal aliens’ hospital care. She voted against a bill that would make employers liable for the reimbursements if an undocumented employee seeks medical attention. And she voted in favor of rewarding illegal aliens from Mexico with Social Security benefits.

  10. The Democrats are the slave party.

    They are the party of the brownshirts, those who, bereft of any opportunity, will become thugs and sell their soul for revenge and wealth. I hate them, but I understand them. What would you do if faced with hunger and cold? Won’t stop me from putting a bullet in their heads if they invade my property. Hence the hatred of property.

    The M13 gang is the current manifestation of storm trooper infiltration, small squads wreaking havoc and fear far beyond their numbers. Works great in a free society.

    Storm troopers form the corp. Around them are those who fear and respect them: the mass of the immigrants who have been given an ideology by Obama and Holder that the white man has taken their land, prosperity and future.

    From there, the ideology radiates to the prisons and the streets, to the poor and projects, and from there, when the “crisis” happens, to society at large.

    I know the streets and a little about prison and I can tell you that never, until the last two years, have I been called a cracker. It happens routinely now. I am not allowed to reply with “nigger” or “beaner.”

    This immediate “crisis” I see from at least one other viable view. The M13 and immigrants function as storm troopers especially against hated Texas and Arizona. I wonder why California and Nevada aren’t experiencing the same crisis?

    Brown and black people are being given an ideology and judicial system which tells them they are justified in assaulting white people. The elite whites, safe behind their gates and communities patrolled by guards with guns and mace, believe that amnesty and appeasement will work. They, ironically, have more bias and fear towards black and brown people. Why shouldn’t they? How often do they encounter them?

    The real danger lies with the youth. The older than 20 crowd cannot be brainwashed. Thus the “youth” being transported across the immense border of Mexico in order to become storm troopers against us, not as a real attempt at overthrow, but in an attempt to win the battle of the will. Their ranks are intended to frighten us, to win on the cheap, like bullies, which they have been manipulated to become. Most will. Some won’t. And those some will be precious to us.

    The streets have two rules: power and blood. You either have power or blood (relationship) are you don’t last long. Obama is attempting to make America into one big street culture that demands you fight back. If you don’t, which he is counting on, you will become the next slave.

    The Democrats are the slave party.

  12. The White House has been caught not having the funds to care for the thousands streaming across the border unaccompanied. That is what the 2 billion is for, and I can tell you it won’t be spent on deportations-that is just the latest lie out of the White House.

  13. Oh, Nancy! Bringing home one cat from the pound is helpful, bringing home 99 makes you a crazy cat lady. No disrespect to the immigrants, but taking in hundreds of thousands of children and “teens” (from MS-13 & cartels) en masse, moving them from overcrowded holding areas and then dropping them off in busloads in CA, NY and MA communities is chaos.

    It’s basically what happened if the Democrats won the US Civil War but were exiled to South Africa.

    Also another story was Sparta, where the UN Earth sent convicts and rape squads to distant frontier colonies, in order to export their criminals and to create a pretext for invading those colonies interstellar wise.

    That’s probably the highest expense to quality ratio. Although CEOs have paid 3000+ dollars for 2-3 day seminars from Larkin. A lot of those CEOs, get this, weren’t all conservatives. So they get it, when it comes to themselves. Then they use their life’s profit to donate to Democrats.

    The new video are very well done for teaching newbies, and the samples should show the difference from back when the older series. A lot easier than martial arts or internal Chinese martial arts like Taiji Chuan.

    So for people wondering what to buy and how to use their budget, and what the difference between the 1000-2000 dollar seminar is for, the seminar was originally for CEOs or CIA agents that wanted to buff up their training immediately, without learning themselves. Time is money for those people, and when the feds are funding the LEO training, money is no issue when the time is free.

    Crazies like that religious convert, forgot his name, that Fox News fired. B…. something. Anyways, he went for a seminar and brought his family or something.

  19. So rely on police to protect you? Even if they were there and able to do so, police unions have made them incompetent or run under bad ROE.

    Well, Hussein makes the US forces run on bad ROE too, so there it is, so by the grace of reality.

    And when police is the one rounding you up, confiscating your guns as they did in Katrina, watcha going to do? Shooting criminals is one thing. But even if you wipe out an entire SWAT death squad, they are still going to wipe out your family or strip them of their property and livelihood in revenge. So mission failed there.

    But if you surrender your guns, then the rape squads and black thug squads will be able to kidnap your family, right? But that’s only if your only tool is a weapon like a gun, which DC knows to confiscate. What if you have a machine gun stashed underground in your private bunker and vacation home? If you can get it… but what if you had a backup? What if you had an invisible weapon, that they could not x ray or strip you of before they lock you in a room with 50 Mexican death gang members?

    Here’s one I noticed. In some ratty village, on a dusty road, waiting for a bus, an incredibly gorgeous and colorful woman and her young daughter. This lady was model good, and her daughter was following right along. Such flowers in the desert.

    How about sending them especially to the sanctuary cities? SF would love it.
    I also don’t believe Obama will use that money to close the border. He could have done a lot more months ago by sending the message that kds arriving in the US would be sent back home or at least dropped on the other side of the Mexican border, where he assumed the parents would be responsible for paying for their return. Obama can get TV coverage whenever he opens his mouth. This would have cost us nothing.

  27. Generally, I have come to the conclusion that if Obama and Pelosi are for it – it’s something malign, dangerous and unsavory — and bad for the US. At least, bad for those of us who are still hanging on to middle-class status, our own Tiny Bidnesses, our modest house in the suburbs, and our heritage.
    Miz Nan likely wants some more cheap servants to scrub her floors, work in her vineyards, and vote for her party. Obama would cheerfully see us dead in a ditch – executed by whatever domestic version of the ISIS that he can generate – or living in poverty.
    While he and his feast on wagyu beef and party with Beyonce, no doubt.

  28. Even if they’re deposited in sanctuary cities, there is no guarantee that they’ll stay put. There might even be an incentive for them to leave to better slip into the shadows. I doubt DHS will be tracking all of these newcomers, not when it’s done such a poor job just keeping the illegal immigrant criminals in jail or getting them returned to their home country. Probably by design.

    And yes – it is doubly-appalling to consider all those who have jumped through the legal hoops, and waited in line to come here legally.
    I deeply suspect that Obama is working to destroy all respect for the rule of law. He would be just ducky about the US turned into a South American-style oligarchy, where the connected get ahead and live in comfort, whereas for the rest of us, ‘plato-o-plomo’ rules the land.

  34. What will come very soon, I suspect, is vigilante law. When the establishments which are supposed to observe and enforce the law – as we understand it, in our blunt and independent American way – fail in their duty to protect and deliver, then we are culturally inclined to take the matter of justice into local organization control.
    Interesting things happen, when the official rule of law breaks down – and I do not think that we have forgotten that. Even in San Francisco. Yes, I wrote about it – the story turned out to be a three-parter, about law and the lack of it, and what citizens might do, upon being pushed beyond a certain line.

  42. Also, if I was their adviser, I would advise them to stop making explosives ala McVeigh. Instead, the FBI will be told to ignore the border smuggling. That means you can get about 10 tons of C4 or Simptex through those tunnels and the FBI will “know” but they will never be allowed to raid anyone, cause Mexicans dontcha know.

    Tonight I read a news release stating that they have found some children who are infected by the Swine Flu in Brownsville, Texas. If true, that’s a major reason for the government to do it’s duty and close the border. Raise a racket with your Congress Critters. Let them know your eyes are on the border. My Congress Critters know about the Swine Flu now. Don’t let up! Until they cancel all elections, these people have to pay attention to voters.

    I think the $2 billion request is due to pressure from citizens on the dems. It’s not going to be used to secure the border for good. Only long enough to take the pressure off until after the elections. But it’s a start!

    Here’s one: I ran into an old friend this afternoon; in the West Village (NYC). She’s 63, a practicing Catholic, not a bad sort, but a liberal birdbrain.

    As in: I brought up gender-based violence (I used to work for NGOs, long story) and asked her to guess which ideology was responsible for more violence against women, by FAR, than any other. She looked puzzled, then ventured, “Christians?”

    I was stunned, and told her, “What? that actually is SHOCKING, Mary! Why Christians???” and she said, feebly, “because there are more of them?”

    But I bore down on her, and said with some heat, “It’s the MUSLIMS, Mary.” And rattled off some appalling statistics.

    The result was interesting — within a minute, seriously, she was confessing that she had long thought that the way to deal with the Middle East was to move all the women and girls out of there and nuke the men! (And added, “Not Israel, though.”) She had in mind exterminating all the Muslim men.

    Isn’t that interesting? Now, I didn’t “come out” to her as a neoconservative; I was a liberal birdbrain myself when I knew her back when. But I find that the birdies will only listen to each other (as used to be the case with me as well), so I carry on my one-woman sapper’s campaign!

    Just chalkin’ one up. G’night, you all.

    This planned invasion by these illegals is a HUGE fire that is not even trying to be contained. They have been brought here to burn down America to ash and ruins.

    Send them back NOW. Obama must be brought down. He ia a clear and present danger to America. If there is any poetic justice, he, his wife and his daughters will suffer consequences of this out of control situation. He should burn in his own ring of fire.

    Turn these people away. Pay buses to take them home and then “Thank God and Greyhound that they’re gone.”
