And brave ones, at that:
The two men on the right are almost certainly too young to remember, but the petals of the “Iraqi rose” used to include many Jews. Some were killed and most were hounded out right after Israel was founded.
Secular and religious alliances were being formed in Iraq after the 2006 surge, but Hussein ended that in his own fashion.
One cannot have alliances without security.
A friend of mine who lives in New Jersey now was just a child when they moved all of the Jews out of his little village in Iraq into Israel in 1947. He said he could barely remember the gate to their town which was stone and low so a horseman had to dismount to come through it and that was to keep the Muslim raiders from attacking in mass on horseback.
He also told me his Jewish family had lived in that village for over a thousand years or so until they were force out in mass. He served in Air Force in 1968 and after that quick war he moved to the US and I think his family lives back and forth between Israel and the US today.
The story of all of the relocated Jews is seldom told today and these brave men are telling to story now of the Christians who have been in place for centuries being persecuted. I wonder how much danger these guys are in and I hope we don’t see their severed heads being held up in pictures by little kids.
I am at the place where the term moderate muslim is an oxymoron. If the moderates out number the jihad loons they need to orstracize/slaughter the loons or we, once we have the cojones grande, will have to put collateral damage into the dustbin of the war of islam versus the west. The fact that islam is waging war against the west, and has been doing so for 1400 years, will eventually be acknowledged or the new caliphate will rule the world.
Islam is a violent evil religion which is custom made to defeat Christianity and Western Civilization. Whereas Christians and Jews worship a good loving God, Allah is not subject to those soft feelings. Allah is inscrutable and impersonal. Therefore, Muslims don’t need a theodicy, unconditional love is completely absent in the Koran.
What passes for Allah’s love is always in response to prior human endeavor such as killing non-Muslims in Jihad whereas the God of the Jews and Christians loves us first before we have done anything to deserve his love.
Muslims are human and can experience natural human love and decency. When Muslims act humane they are doing it in spite of their religion not because of it. I have had a discussion with a moderate Muslim who thought of himself as a good person. However, when I challenged him with the violent theology he had no response because he was ashamed to admit that he believed those things. For a genuine Muslim, the theology supercedes the normal humane impulses.
Expanding on what Illuminati wrote–when Pope John Paul II was asked about Islam in “Crossing the Threshold of Hope”, he stated the difference between Christianity and Islam is that with Islam, God is only the “Judge”, he is never, “Emmanuel, God With Us”. I have never forgotten that. It explains in the most succinct manner the chasm of difference between the 2 faiths.
On the presumption that these three men are indeed sincere, what we are witnessing is decent human beings, who are in complete denial as to the tenets of the ‘religion’ that they embrace. That is the case with ALL ‘moderate’ Muslims, who are picking and choosing what aspects of Islam to practice.

ErdoÄŸan is a devout fundamentalist and he is exactly correct in his comment regarding Islam and no ‘moderate’ Muslim could disagree upon a theological basis.
If it’s true–which some Muslims have said–that a moderate Muslim is, in effect, the Islamic equivalent of the Christmas/Easter Christian, then we have a problem.
It would be difficult to convince those convinced of the Koran’s literal truth that the Koran wants them to be all loving and stuff toward others and not kill or conquer them.
They’d have to be convinced some other way.
How is this different from the innocent and pure Democrats that merely practice a portion of their religion, aka Left’s death cult?

If only more folks thought like these fellows; if only more folks would speak out like these fellows.
