Two wonderful trends work to synergistic effect — 35 Comments

  1. Push was always going to come to shove.

America will probably soon pay the price for electing a monster of a man twice. It should be the case that those people who I do not even consider to be real Americans – that is, anyone who voted for Obama twice is as much a hater of America as Obama himself is – get what they deserve.

The injustice is that we will get what they deserve, and they will probably skate.

Still, when reality hits it can be a wake up call.

It should not take terrorism and mayhem on our shores….but if that is what it takes then so be it.

Rev. Wright said, “God damn America”. I say “God (will) damn Democrats” – and not a moment to soon.

  2. Mike @ 8:54 PM – –

Please do not take the following as aimed at you, or disrespectfully intended. It is not.

The wake-up call is an illusion.

Reason why # 1: the wake-up call is a special thing. It happens to the rare individual who makes a major change after a sudden realization of a long-accumulating insight.

For instance, the extremely rare alcoholic who hits bottom and stops. Most of the other alcoholics do what they are going to do, bottom after bottom. I am not condemning those alcoholics; I have great sympathy for them. And for the non-alcoholics in their lives, I have great sympathy because of the realization that nothing can be done.

Reason why # 2: in the case of jihad combined with BO, let’s just say we cannot specify BO’s motives (I suspect close to the worst, but that is not necessary, mere incompetence is sufficient). Regardless, we are so many years along since 9/11 (to pick a pretty good frame of reference), the vast amounts of money and expertise have been piled up, and correspondingly the capacity for an effective response (however defined) has been so degraded, the wake-up call more truly will be a death knell.

We are awash in forces beyond our control. We are in the end game of human thought divorced from humanity. I realize I sound like an idiot and a pompous ass when I say this, an egotistic jerk trying to draw attention to himself, but I will say it anyway (lol … proving as much). Tolstoy described our (human and American) present circumstances in War and Peace. He defined what we are going through in the whole book, but intensely and philosophically in the many pages at the end, in case anyone missed the point.

There are sufferers, and those who inflict suffering (I am saying that, not Tolstoy). Jihad and the Left are cruel. Their philosophy is based ultimately on their purely human desire to inflict suffering. There are no restraints. Truth, a desire for truth, acknowledgement of humanity, is irrelevant. And in fact those are hard things, hard to attain, even with the best of intents.

    Cruelty is like an orgasm.

When this thing washes over us, it will not be a wake-up call, I believe. It will be a rape.

  3. you forgot to mention that they have been seizing lots of hand grenades too…

and lets not forget that the southern states signed contracts with mother russia to make dragunov sniper rifles, and rpgs…

Currently being bought by the Army of Venezuela.

and of course the Sandinista are still around

not to mention that for years agents from certain countries have been coming over as sleepers. now they are reporting isis sleeprs, and so on… but for decades, Russia and others have also placed sleepers. sabotage, etc…

Certain buried or otherwise concealed containers used by the KGB to cache items such as shortwave radio receivers and cryptographic materials were booby-trapped with an explosive device known as Molniya (“lightning”). A sequence of specific actions had to be taken in the correct order to render the device safe prior to moving or opening the container, or the device would detonate

Large arms caches were allegedly hidden in many countries for planned terrorism acts. They were booby-trapped with “Molniya”. One such cache, which was identified by KGB defector Vasili Mitrokhin, exploded when Swiss authorities fired upon it using a water cannon, resulting in no casualties. The device was found in the woods near Bern

turns out that war plans were scrapped cause of the build up that reagan created…

    remember in 2010:
federal prosecutors accused 11 people of being part of a Russian espionage ring, living under false names and deep cover in a patient scheme to penetrate what one coded message called American “policy making circles.”

and boy all the new toys that are also possible.
like explosive based emp devices (that dont need nuclear weapons)… there is lots on them available, and you can read about them… they can cause effects over smaller areas, but still can be a big problem

  4. This was something that any clear headed person could see coming from 10,000 miles away. So it begins; suicide bombers in shopping malls, jihad thugs beheading 3rd graders, dirty bombs in Omaha, and all of Reverend Wright’s chickens coming to roost in god damn America. The boychild learned his lessons well and his revenge is at hand. The people who voted for this monster will have blood on their hands and blame it all on chimp Bush.

  5. “anyone who voted for Obama twice is as much a hater of America as Obama himself is” Mike

“According to a new Pew Research Center study, only 40 percent of consistently liberal Americans say they often feel proud to be Americans.”

That finding, along with “just 40% of Solid Liberals, say the phrase “honor and duty are my core values” and that, it “applies well to them” reveals that 40% of ‘solid liberals’ are the duped and indoctrinated low-info voters who actually support traditional classical liberal values… the other 60% of ‘solid liberals’ are Marxist/Progressives and those of whom you speak but apply the same label to all.

Both my Father, a WWII vet and, my 27 yr old daughter voted for Obama and, I suspect both times. They are LIVs and mistaken about many things, being thoroughly indoctrinated into the memes of the left but I can assure you that they both love America as much as you or I.

I was a liberal in 1989, after Clinton’s election followed almost exactly the same path as neo but I never hated America nor do I believe that neo ever hated America.

I enlisted in the Navy in 1969 with the explicit realization that if my country needed “that last full measure of devotion” that I had willingly volunteered for such, just as my Dad did in 1940.

If you can’t accept the poll results and the personal anecdotes I’ve offered then you are as willfully blind as those you condemn. Which would make you just the other side of the same coin.

  6. parker,

Blaming “it all on chimp Bush” won’t fly for very long. The first few attacks the public will give him the benefit of the doubt but if the attacks go on, Obama’s going to get the blame.

My Dad, still a liberal who voted for Obama twice, independently offered his opinion the other day that he’s recently concluded that Obama is a “weak President”.

My Dad’s a life long admirer of Harry Truman’s forthrightness and despite watching ABC news every night for virtually the past 60 years, he still believes that its the President’s job to protect America, that the buck stops on Obama’s desk. Obama’s golf vacations haven’t escaped his notice, nor do I think the notice of millions of others.

I predict that if we’re subjected to a series of attacks and Obama still takes vacations, the reaction of the public is going to be politically brutal.

  7. GB,

I fully realize that many ‘liberals’ are people who do not truly realize the inherent evil of the left. They are for all intents and purposes brainwashed. That does not excuse the harm they cause through their refusal to realize the folly of their beliefs, their ignorance of history, and an abysmal avoidance of the truth of human nature. They refuse to admit, despite all evidence, that nothing is more important than restraining central government, maximizing individual liberty, and protecting the rule of law while shunning the capricious rule of mere mortals subject to corruption and evil.

You may laugh, but I take it personally. They endanger my children, 5 grandchildren, and my future great grandchildren. That I can not forgive nor forget as long as I breathe the atmosphere and piss water. Them and the horse they rode in on.

  8. Next week, I and my wife are driving back to Texas from a vacation in California. Our plans were to go through El Paso originally.

We have just changed those plans to take a different route around El Paso.

I can’t drive through a city inside my own country and feel comfortable about it due to Obama’s incompetence and policies to turn America blue.

    Sad.

  9. parker,

I understand and to a real degree share the feeling.

That said, not buying the “Father forgive them for they know not what they do” aye?

And, whatever shall you do when some of your grandchildren grow up to be liberals?

Don’t laugh it can happen, I know from personal experience. My daughter who voted twice for Obama… when a little girl was so naturally conservative in her opinions, that I often said, “Oh, you’re going to be a good little republican someday”. Five years of college changed her political opinions, the indoctrination is comprehensive in its immersion. And the MSM thoroughly reinforces it into cement like rigidity.

  10. Rest assured GB, my grandchildren will not grow up to be leftists. All 5 are home schooled. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is coded in our genes. We teach it from an early age. When they get older we teach that all ‘they’ can do is kill you, they can not take the liberty that resides in your mind. We are, counting my siblings, my 1st cousins and their children are over 40 strong. I am the current patriarch of my family. If they (NSA, DHS, DOJ, etc.) want to take my life/liberty they will take the life/liberty of all my kin and friends. That is what they do….. so what choice do we (or you and yours) have but total resistance once they show their hand?

They will kill your leftist father and children simply because they are tainted by their association with you. That is what they do. Once you realize this simple truth you realize the true scope of what is at stake. The same goes for anyone who posts at this blog or merely reads this blog. They know who you are, you are on their radar. Them and the horse they road in on. Let the hunger games begin.

  11. When you are an enemy of the state, there is nothing to be done but resist or line up to board the cattle car. That day is approaching. They know who you are. All you have to decide is how you will respond. Passively or aggressively.

  12. A large majority of Americans is depraved and debauched. They celebrate every kind of perversion and wallow in corruption A wave of jihadic terror and conquest washing over America would merely be God’s (or Allah’s) righteous judgement.

  13. parker,

Your trust that home schooling will serve as sufficient insulation for your grandchildren is touching. History proves that parental influence has its limits. Teaching our children how to think logically and critically is the best we can do. In time they may stray but if they do, it presents their best chance of awakening.

My Father is NOT a leftist, he’s a duped liberal, somewhat in the Harry Truman, ‘Scoop’ Jackson mold. He actually believes that “politics stops, at the water’s edge” and still naively assumes that the democrat party embraces that standard.

I have no doubt that ‘they’ know who I am. I’m not worried about familial fallout because I cannot think of anything that would be more certain to result in a civil war. And under such a scenario, the US military would NOT support that level of political repression. IMO, the hard core left is smarter than that. First, know thy enemy.

If it all goes to hell, I shall not go quietly into the night. If possible, I’ll disappear and fight from the shadows with 4th generation warfare.

  14. “A wave of jihadic terror and conquest washing over America would merely be God’s (or Allah’s) righteous judgement.” Bob Sykes

Natural consequence is NOT divine judgement.

  15. parker…

But what’s to be done to resist a passive-aggressive despot?

This is the new twist in the old plot.

    ****

We have, in Barry, a Reactive-Dependent personality.

He fits that profile to a Tee.

And yet, everyone’s reactions to him turn on him being some sort of conventional despot.

    He’s NOT.

He’s the new wave DIGITAL despot.

He’s as much a creature from Google as he is from Frank Marshall Davis.

Hitler pretty much invented “popular-despotism” — for what term is more appropriate for a polling dictator BUT popular-despot?

How can Adolf’s massively promoted “Ja!” campaigns evaporate from living memory — Winston’d into the memory hole? (memory hold?)

    &&&

Am I paranoid to be wary, concerned lest the Teleprompter in Chief be aroused by the voice of the pollsters into ever more egregious tramplings of he US Constitution?

With Barry one must come to know that ANY more Barry from Barry is to call for the Klink from Klink.

He only has the one flavor: and you didn’t like it a half-a-pint back. How might you imagine liking a full quart of Barry?

Do NOT look to executive action from Barry Soetoro.
For, as an operant, he’s a living Boolean “not” function.

His anti-Americanism is writ to his DNA.

    %%%

One is reminded of Adolf, Stalin; LBJ and Carter: generals quickly learned that the more these ‘big men’ took an interest in matters — the worse for all concerned.

[ The epic debacle: Operation Eagle Claw (cribbed from Get Smart, no doubt) has Carter written clean through it. Of LBJ and Vietnam, countless books have been written. Of Stalin and Hitler, libraries have been written.]

    &&&

One should take heart. The Golf Warrior is also despotism as farce. As long as his writ is confined to executive orders, his zany policies can be reversed.

In a larger sense, one has to be wary about getting the courts to fluff out his nostrums.

Towards that end, every attempt should be made to slow-roll 0-care through the courts. 2017 may well be the earliest opportunity to attain an impartial review of that omnibus of tort.

  16. People on both sides of the aisle are bemoaning Obama for “not having a plan”.

I think he’s executing his plan–do nothing. He’s waiting for an attack. Obama and his handlers know that the only positive that can come out of this is the rave reviews he will inevitably get for the speeches he makes in the aftermath of an attack. He can “talk tough” in those speeches afterwards and regain the “badass” moniker through words alone.

And as many as posited, he and the media will conveniently pin all responsibility for the attack on Bush.

  17. The first few attacks the public will give him the benefit of the doubt but if the attacks go on, Obama’s going to get the blame.

Hussein getting the blame doesn’t matter. The Left will merely install a new Deus ex Machina. You’re seriously underestimating the Left if you think Hussein is its de facto leader.

  18. This is the result of Obama’s intentional sowing of chaos.
There is no rational, American sovereignty-supporting explanation for what Obama has done to ensure that our southern border is porous and the crowds of foreigners encouraged to breach it.

Heck, I bet when the dust settles from whatever attacks take place we’ll see that the terrorists were assisted by DHS and/or Border Patrol, maybe even guests at one of our military bases before being provided travel fare to their US city of choice. It won’t matter who is to blame at that point – it will be more about whether or not we still have the means to prevent further attacks, thanks to all that Obama has done to neuter or military and domestic institutions (e,g, not flagging Hassan or the Tsarnaevs despite many clues).

  19. I think part of the reason that the US has largely avoided terror attacks the last 13 years is that the terrorists are/were grandiose narcissists that are always trying to live up to the impact of 9/11- trying to be the next Bin Laden, for example. Big, destructive attacks are hard to pull off and take time and lots of conspirators, not all of whom are careful or even trustworthy. One the things that worries me most about ISIS is that we may be seeing the growth of a more pragmatic, small scale sort of terrorism.

  20. parker: “I am the current patriarch of my family.”

This is the key, and we need more of this from our men.

  21. I saw Governor Lefty Moonbeam Brown of California making a proud announcement in L.A. last week that all illegals from south of the border were welcome and that Calif. Drivers Licenses could be obtained easily. My old home state gets crazier and more self-destructive each year.

So, Jerry,’Yo…How’bout 300-500 ISIS bruthas come across as noble Latino illegals, you ignorant F***?? You and those Hollywood Lefty Multi-Zillionaires gonna be warm and welcoming, you blind, shipwreck of a ‘Twit??

  22. One the things that worries me most about ISIS is that we may be seeing the growth of a more pragmatic, small scale sort of terrorism.

Previous terrorist cells in the US that Bush eliminated, or like Hasan at Ft. Hood, were already pretty small. What they had problems with was getting under the FBI radar. The FBI tracks international shipments of munitions and explosives everywhere it goes, even through Japan. They got eyes on black market websites, so even one person can’t avoid their gaze when trying to make bombs in California.

What makes the US Mexican border a strategic hole is that S[]mtex and various other explosives and resources can be transferred via tunnels, and the FBI can no longer track it, any more than the big bad boys at ATF tracked the gun shipments they sold the cartels. This bypasses America’s strategic envelopment of protective intelligence, as the Left intended it to.

  23. Yancey….

    I don’t follow.

    1) The FBI has nabbed plenty of perps — and ALL of them fit the small scale jihad you’re detailing.

    2) The BIG stuff — as ever — originates OVERSEAS. It’s been tripped up by NON-American intelligence assets. That’s right, we’ve had nothing much to do with it — other than cheering it on.

More generally, would you — and everyone else — STOP providing pointers to the opposition force?

Yes, they do read Western blog threads.

The OBL stunt at the border has caused the fanatics to open their eyes.

Much, much, earlier… did you know that Logan airport — Boston — had been repeatedly flagged by a patriotic American for having astoundingly lax boarding security?

And that his efforts drew the 9-11 conspirators straight towards Logan? He was TOTALLY ineffectual at getting Logan to tighten up security. Instead, he set the system on fire by highlighting that Logan would NEVER increase its security.

His videos have been largely suppressed. One showed that any Tom, Dick or Harry could wander onto the (secured) concourse where flights are refueled and the meals are placed on board. Logan had absolutely no gating what so ever between the public streets and the airport apron!

He detailed that luggage security was a total farce. IIRC, he once sent HIMSELF down the luggage belt into the system. In the off hours, no one was there to catch him.

    &&&

My point is that your fellow Americans WILL NOT adjust or correct anything because of any video that a fellow American produced.

    That simply NEVER happens.

The American system requires that a total catastrophe occur. THEN blame is assigned.

If you recall, the lethal damage to the Space Shuttle Columbia was brought up BEFORE the craft ever left the International Space Station. A NASA engineer could not get NASA to inspect the craft while it was in orbit — even though the space station had cameras out is ears — and it would’ve been trivially easy to roll the spacecraft around in front of those cameras.

AFTER the Columbia was destroyed, such inspections became part of the routine.

The particular engineer was hooked off of central stage. Most Americans still are unaware that the tragedy was predicted in advance. It was entirely within our power to just hold the crew over until another launch.

    @@@

Bottom line: don’t push any corrective ideas to the Web.

You’ll end up feeling like the Logan ‘hero.’

BTW, he was widely blamed for 9-11 in some (Boston) circles. It’s notable that the fanatics never seriously considered any other airport after his videos gained circulation. He’d solved their single biggest technical problem: where to start.

[ If his videos are news to you, they only circulated within the Boston media market. They were aired time and again on Boston TV news programs. ]

  24. I should clarify- a bomb set off at a mall, or shoe bomb taking down an airliner is not small potatoes, in my opinion. Indeed, anything that involves accumulating explosives is the sort of large scale thing I am talking about. When I talk about small scale, I am talking about firearms and other terrorizing weapons.

    Blert,

No one is reading these blogs and taking ideas from them. ISIS is not taking cues from O’Keefe.

  25. Geoffrey

Crap. The “you the same as they are” is bs on two counts.

    1) Not everything is the same thing. The ALlies were not the Axis. Your loved ones voted fpor Obama twice? That’s not love for America. Sorry. Your loved ones are hater. You don’t want to “fundamentally transform” something you love. You do that to things you can’t stand. Maybe they are just brainwashed. But does a brainwashed person love anything. I don’t buy it. And I’m not sorry.

    2) If “I am as bad as the other side” then you just conceded my point as you were denying it. If I am as bad as they are – I most certainly am not! – then they are bad. As I was saying…

    Get it?

    Get real.

  26. What parker said.

This is the horrible horrible truth we live with and must admit – Obama voters are dangers to themselves and others.

They do not get a “pass” just because you know them, or like them. They are dangerous to life, limb, freedom, liberty, prosperity and all good things.

They have already done incalculable harm, and the worst is yet to come.

There were those good Germans who supported Hitler. In every society in crisis there are all those “good” people who are 90% the cause of it.

  27. People’s Democrat friends and relatives may not, for personal reasons, turn their own associates into the death squads, but they will certainly do it to the rest of us. And when that moment comes, we’re supposed to pull our finger off the trigger because… what, we’re supposed to ask them for identification before the death squads bust in at the dead of night, and say “oh, you’re with my internet friend, you alone get to live”?

And people complain about war being unrealistic…

  28. a bomb set off at a mall, or shoe bomb taking down an airliner is not small potatoes, in my opinion.

Most of them were nabbed under Bush II, so they didn’t have a chance to learn from the single man shootings, except perhaps for the 2 Muslims at DC Sniper event.

Since then, they’ve been busy fighting in Libya, getting training from Hussein O.

Now they’ll be back. So the issue was never guns or explosives. It’s the fact that people who make terrorist possible, are living with the greatest power and wealth benefits in the US.

  29. My point is that your fellow Americans WILL NOT adjust or correct anything because of any video that a fellow American produced.

That’s not the fault of geniuses. It’s the fault of society for being too stupid to recognize a solution when they see it. And if the information is used by bottom up hierarchies like terrorist cells, the same applies to civilian bottom up hierarchies making good use of the information too.

If a citizen will not protect their nation, then they are either no longer a citizen or their nation is no longer their nation, and they should make war on the foreigners they call “Americans”.

  30. A couple of 22 LR to the back of the head or better a sharp blade across the throat or a lead pipe to the back of the skull. After the first one, all the rest are free. I am a senior citizen, if I can do it you can do it too. Because I can do it.

  31. GB & Parker: A wonderful exchange yesterday. Thanks!! I’m a 1944-Kid who, after doing the dance with the draft Board through BA & MA work, finally was at the induction center in January 1970 when a doctor with bars on his shoulder read a letter from my lifelong MD and said, “Son, the Army wouldn’t take you even IF you wanted in.” I was up-to-my-gizzard in the anti-Vietnam War movement and a Liberal who wasn’t “mugged by reality” into the light of neoconservatism for 11-more years. David Mamet has written perfectly the shame he will always live with, as do I, for not serving when called. (“The Secret Knowledge”–2011) My Doc had exaggerated lifelong hay fever to a history of asthma. God, how I regret that second term vote for the second worst president of the last 100-years, Jimmah Cawtah. Though I remained(like many Neos, including Dr.Sowell) a registered Democrat until moving from L.A. to Central Florida(Winter Park)in ’06, I never voted for another.

The energy, vim & vinegar of your lively exchange puts a much needed smile on the kisser of this neocon ‘coot who is yet gasping from November 2012’s election results. Past time for me to shake it the ***k off and re-energize some optimism and such for the fight ahead. In that vein I reread last night much of Victor Davis Hanson’s ’03 book collection, “Between War and Peace”. Well worth it. Needed to be reminded just how anti-American and Bush Hating the Democrat Left was in the days ‘tween Afghanistan and Iraq. Well worth the trip.

Anyway, thanks again for the lively exchange.
