I said it was ONE of my favorite scenes. I was limited to what’s on YouTube.
That said, I love that scene very very much. It reminds me of my nearly everyday experiences calling businesses with automated phone systems.
Other good scenes:
– Awakening, and seeing what’s become of Fuddruckers.
– Ow! My Balls!
– “You went to legal school at Costco?” “Yeah, I know, I couldn’t believe it either!”
– Gentleman’s Latte (with extra foam)
But I think my favorite scene is the redneck judge: “I’m fixin’ to commensurate this trial up in here!” “What are you objectifyin’ on?”
Oh, and of course, Brawndo: the Thirst Mutilator. (It’s got what _ crave!)
I kept hearing Conservatives reference this movie and so my wife and I finally sat down and watched it. We enjoyed it quite a bit (although it could have been less crude in parts). Over the ensuing weeks we found each other referencing it more and more when we saw absurd things in everyday life. Eventually we started getting a bit sad about it. It really is happening.
I could easily see an MMA champion winning the Presidency and 90% of the “logic” uttered by environmentalists is along the lines of, “electrolytes, they’re what plants crave.”
Regarding the crudity, I know that’s part of the point of the movie, and it is an accurate depiction of the trend. I’m not a prude when it comes to comedy and entertainment, but I get so tired of seeing it in places where it’s unnecessary. I like comedy a lot, but crudity is often the lowest common denominator, a “cheap” laugh.
Idiocracy is really stupid. The Japanese would have done something more interesting such as take a real genius to that time. Mad scientist scenario.
The fact that America is emulating Idiocracy, which I considered a very low bar for movies, is telling.
Find it irresistible. I have been previously looking for this info. Great info Let me come back regarding information regarding diets that work.. estrada
