Pakistini Taliban attack school, kill 140+ children and teachers — 30 Comments

  1. They should remember that Pakistan has nukes. They could easily get rid of a few valleys and villages if they wanted. I think I might report the terrorsts’s friends to the army if I lived near them.

  2. ” We went into a camp to inoculate some children. We left the camp after we had inoculated the children for polio, and this old man came running after us and he was crying. He couldn’t see. We went back there, and they had come and hacked off every inoculated arm. There they were in a pile. A pile of little arms. And I remember… I… I… I cried, I wept like some grandmother. I wanted to tear my teeth out; I didn’t know what I wanted to do! And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it… I never want to forget. And then I realized… like I was shot… like I was shot with a diamond… a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought, my God… the genius of that! The genius! The will to do that! Perfect, genuine, complete, crystalline, pure. And then I realized they were stronger than we, because they could stand that these were not monsters, these were men… trained cadres. These men who fought with their hearts, who had families, who had children, who were filled with love… but they had the strength… the strength… to do that. If I had ten divisions of those men, our troubles here would be over very quickly. You have to have men who are moral… and at the same time who are able to utilize their primordial instincts to kill without feeling… without passion… without judgment… without judgment! Because it’s judgment that defeats us.” — Kurtz, Apocalypse Now.

    Je répé¨te:

    It’s.
    judgment.
    that.
    defeats.
    us.

  3. Just another man made disaster from the religion of peace. Dear leader’s statement on this horrible massacre did not even mention the taliban. He’s probably too busy polishing his golf clubs before his 17 day vacation to give this more than 10 minutes of his attention.

  4. Col. Kurtz of Apocalypse Now is a deranged madman.

I’m confident that God would NOT say that cutting off children’s arms was an act of genius, nor that the will to do that was “Perfect, genuine, complete, crystalline, pure.” that’s utter BS. It’s NOT judgement that defeats us but the refusal to fight fire with fire, while remaining clear that violence used to stop violence has an entirely different morality than violence used to compel others.

  5. If memory is correct, the Pakistani ISI set up the Taliban in Afghanistan. If you sow dragon’s teeth…

  6. parker: “Dear leader’s statement on this horrible massacre did not even mention the taliban.”

Not even the 5 Taliban leaders he freed from Gitmo for Bergdahl?

  7. While I didn’t watch the channel all day long, every single time I glanced at CNN during the afternoon- they were talking about the Sydney incident, not the one in Pakistan. I bet, if I turned up the sound, I would find they were debating whether or not the Sydney perpetrator was a terrorist or just a lone lunatic.

  8. I say again, the war between Western Civilization and Islam will eventually become a war of extermination. It’s either us or them. No compromise is possible.

  9. There’s an expression in the south that some people just need killing. This would apply to ISIS and the Taliban big time.

  10. Everyone keeps waiting for the Islamic equivalent of the Protestant Reformation to save us all. Unfortunately the Islamic Reformation is already here – Islamic extremism. The Taliban are a branch of the Islamic reformation.

Islamic extremism is equivalent to the Protestant Reformation because both movements are a return to a more literal interpretation of the founding holy books and a strong commitment to practice the religion according to the practices of the founders. Because Jesus was peaceful the Protestant Reformation which started out bloody ended up promoting freedom and liberty. Because Mohammad was a violent brigand and slaver the Islamic reformation which has begun in blood will only become more violent and totalitarian.

  11. This is why smart people take the battle to the enemy.
Because it seems so counter intuitive, I think lots of people do not really understand that defensive war is a lot more costly, and not just in dollars and sense, than offensive wars. Think about defending everyone, everywhere (9 million square miles), 24/7, and the costs involved in hardening every potential target. Then consider the resources it would consume and multiply that exponentially by the lost opportunity costs; no one has the wealth or the will to sustain that indefinitely. In the USA, there are 300+ million soft targets, 10s upon 10s of thousands of public and infrastructure targets, hundreds of entry points, and multiple means of attack (dirty bombs, biological threats, poison gas, planes, IEDs) to bring death and destruction OR economic disruption. Besides the human cost, think what 9/11 cost the American economy; then consider child hostages on school buses, bringing in Ebola, contaminating a reservoir, attacking a nuclear power plant, major bridges or terminals, containers or LNG tankers .

Granted we are in an asymmetrical war situation so making war on the capacity to make war, ala Patton or Sherman, is way more difficult. I’m just a regular Joe, but it appears to me that the Someone in the Bush administration was smart enough to realize this and used a honey pot defense to buy time to upgrade the security infrastructure. I for one can hardly believe the level of success that they have managed to achieve to date.

  12. This is shocking and so sad. Entirely too common in the age of ISIS and Boko Haram.

    So to recap:

On Monday, a Muslim man takes people in a Sydney cafe hostage and the media and progressives immediately start lecturing us to not commit hate crimes against Muslims in retaliation. #illridewithyou blah, blah, blah.

On Tuesday, Pakistan Taliban slaughter 141 Muslims (I assume) in retaliation for Malala’s activism, killing mostly school children, and…muted coverage from our ‘more tolerant than thou’ betters in the media.

Seems to be Muslims are more safe in a Western country than the Middle East. Tell me again who is more intolerant?

  13. “It’s NOT judgement that defeats us but the refusal to fight fire with fire, while remaining clear that violence used to stop violence has an entirely different morality than violence used to compel others.”

Well now GB you shore say-ed a heaping mouthful thar. I ain’t shore zactly how yawl make that thar difference knowed to any oneze outsider yer own skul, but I’d be mighty pleased to larn me how.

  14. I have a quick fix…. nuke mecca, medina, and all islamic holy sites outside of Jerusalem and then spray the radioactive rubble with pig blood. Just kidding, but extreme measures will be required or the west will be under sharia within 10-20 years.

  15. parker: “Just kidding, but extreme measures will be required or the west will be under sharia within 10-20 years.”

They’ve been openly attacking us since 1979. The conflict between us and the Islamists is 35 years old. We haven’t lost yet. We, for the most part, have been treating them as an annoyance, rather than a real threat. 9/11 got us riled up for a few months, but the Quislings began their work almost immediately. Bush tried to go to war, but it was always with one hand tied behind our backs. Like John Paul Jones, “We have not yet begun to fight.” If we decide to actually address the enemy, there is no doubt in my mind who will be the victor.

  16. Apparently, it also happens here, but on smaller individual scales. Perhaps that’s why the press doesn’t consider them to be compelling stories. Well, that, and it contradicts the popular narrative spun by the social complex.

    That said, RIP.

  17. We can’t win the fight just by parrying blows.

I just watched “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance” for the first time, which makes much the same point. . . .

John Ford, however, was a man; as was John Wayne (boy, do I miss him).

  18. Lindt Cafe Terrorist Warned Obama Not to Hide His Islamic Faith

Among those who saw Barack Hussein Obama as an “apostate” for denying his religion as an Islamist, when he first ran as president in 2008, was the man who was to become the terrorist who killed two innocent hostages, injuring four others at the Sydney Lindt Cafe on Sunday.

Signing his name as “Sheik Haron” and writing “Dear Brother Barack Obama” in the salutation of his letter, Man Haron Monis warned Obama on June 12, 2008:”You will be apostate by denying your religion, I advise you to avoid such a big sin.”

Virtually ignored by the mainstream media since June of 2008, the letter was easily accessed on Monis’ personal website right up until the day following the Sydney terrorist attack–and even then only because courageous Front Page Magazine columnist Daniel Greenfield brought it into the glare of publicity.

  19. Feminism response… crickets
[besides the left thinks there are too many people anyway, and gruber has written that this saves the state monies]

Iraq: 150 women executed after refusing to marry ISIL militants
    http://www.turkishpress.com/news/415983/

At least 150 women who refused to marry militants of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, or ISIL, were executed in the western Iraqi province of Al-Anbar, Iraq’s Ministry of Human Rights said.

According to a ministry statement released Tuesday, ISIL militants carried out a number of attacks in Fallujah and buried the victims in mass graves in one of the city’s neighborhoods.

“At least 150 females, including pregnant women, were executed in Fallujah by a militant named Abu Anas Al-Libi after they refused to accept jihad marriage,” the statement said. “Many families were also forced to migrate from the province’s northern town of Al-Wafa after hundreds of residents received death threats.”

The ministry said many children died when their families were stranded in the desert after leaving their homes.

  20. Feminist Amanda Marcotte compares unborn babies to bacteria

i guess older kids are puss buckets

    Feminist Amanda Marcotte (Twitter):

“Taking antibiotics terminates more life than an abortion. One organism < the billions you kill with antibiotics.”

If you can believe an embryo is greater than a woman, I can believe bacteria has a right to live.

So i guess the murder of the children is just a public service…

(meanwhile, dunham can feel the republicans already reaching into her womb… )

  21. AND,,,,In keeping with their vastly laudable inclusive/tolerant natures, Obama and John Boy Kerry failed to mention ISLAM in their condemnations of this hideous butchery.

Now, back to the rascally racist outrage of a cop shooting a 300-lb thug who’d just attempted to kill him in his car….My Baaaaaad….

  22. “At least 150 females, including pregnant women, were executed in Fallujah by a militant named Abu Anas Al-Libi after they refused to accept jihad marriage,”

Wow. And we’re supposed to be worried about the so-called campus “rape culture” which apparently includes such offenses as deriding sex positive women?

  23. Libs: Christians are a far greater threat than Muslims.

    Tolerance and Diversity for Islam!

No Tolerance and Diversity for Christianity!

  24. Feminism may have started with virtuous intentions, but it transformed into a political platform for ambitious women. A platform that promotes and shames women to become taxable assets of the state; to become sluts; and to commit premeditated murder of their children in order to secure their rights as taxable assets and sluts.

The termination of human life in planned parenthood rituals is intentional, not collateral. The sole purpose and intent of abortion is to terminate a wholly innocent human life when it is uniquely vulnerable. Obama needs to reflect on his pro-choice depravity. Not only does he tolerate individual immorality, but he actually promotes its progress.

That said, I think this is why human rights activists failed to influence Chinese and other left-wing regimes reform. The communists stared at them in disbelief and covertly, and overtly, mocked their riotous bigotry: look to your own sewers overflowing with unwanted clumps of cells.

  25. Artfldgr:

You have to give Marcotte credit for revealing her true nature. You have to appreciate people like Marcotte who invite scrutiny of their motives. With her depravity on public display, people will be better equipped to offer a rational and reasonable response.

  26. A corollary of acknowledging intrinsic value is acknowledging an unalienable right to self-defense. The problem with the narrative spun by Marcotte et al, is that a human life from conception to birth is wholly innocent. There is no rational or reasonable means to infer intent of the developing human life nor is there cause, probable or otherwise, to assume malicious intent. So, religion or moral consensus requires civilized people to reconcile the intrinsic value of the mother and one or more children. Neither the mother nor her children have superior claims to life, but there is a practical bias to favor the mother’s life, not welfare.

I think there is a definite cause for the renewed interest to highlight the commission of rape and effort to defame the male of the species. As more people acknowledge the self-evident truth that a human life evolves from conception to death, the tolerance for committing premeditated murder is reduced and title to violate human rights is withdrawn. What remains is a morally ambiguous loophole that rationalizes committing premeditated murder in the case of rape.

Amanda Marcotte is an undereducated provocation specialist who seeks attention and emotional revenge by shocking others. Like a perverse moron child, she does this by placing nasty and unwholesome things in her mouth, masticating, and then opening her maw for everyone to see.

There are few people who actually ooze sulfurous fumes, but she is one of them. Like a character in a Lovecraft novel, she will undoubtedly descend into even more obvious states of madness before the earth finally opens up and drags down her tongue-flicking living corpse.

Seriously, look at her eyes … http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/81/Amanda_Marcotte_at_WIS2_5-18-2013.JPG
