Now, that’s a taco — 10 Comments

1. Yep, that’s a TACO SUPREMO! Excess in food has become the THING. That said, I LOL at most of it. Top notch satire.

2. ok, that was funny.

but none of that was Mexican food… blacch

I’m from San Antonio and we are TexMex snobs. that was yucky looking and the thought of it makes me ill… blacchhhh

want real Mexican food. Eat at La Fogata in San Antonio or Jacala for real TexMex…

3. AWESOME!!!!!111!!

Doesn’t work with the rule, “Don’t eat anything bigger than your head”, though.

4. First time for me; just now stopped laughing.
(You can have Mexican food. All tastes the same. Just presented slightly differently on a plate).
Oh No…hysterics are coming on again…

5. Clarityseeker:

Mexican food is probably my least favorite ethnic food, at least of those that are popular. Middle Eastern and then Chinese are my most favorite.

Although let me just say that some Mexican food is very good.

6. Neo,
That’s scary. Love Middle Eastern. Chinese food, when done well, sends chills through me.
Thai food has always been at the top of my favorites. So many incredible flavors and presented with acumen. Hot and sour soup. Whole baked fish in sauces on par with great sex. Mee Krob (done correctly).
Pad Thai; delicate and delectable mélange of, lemon grass, ginger, basil, peanut sauce, garlic. Whoa…
And Cambodian soup; Pho. Simple. Love it..
But, nothing, beats northern Italian. Nothing…Wow.
Southern Italian coking is not even in the same universe. Those poor, poor souls.
Even Provence cuisine in southern France is pretty damned good.
To be fair, there are a couple of worthy Mexican restaurants in southern California; Enrique’s was always enjoyable (6210 E. PCH, Long Beach). Fresh ingredients. Creative. Well conceived menu.

7. Nolanimrod, according to bing and google there is not even a bird named blue parrot, much less a place to eat.

I’m 60, born and raised here. never heard of blue parrot dude…

Jacala for TexMes, La Fogata for Mexican food…
