Obama’s spitting mad… — 35 Comments

  1. hopefully he hocks a large louie into the wind and and and… dont piss on my leg and tell me its raining

  2. Oh, now THAT’S rich…

Refuse entry to Netanyahu through the front door of the White House? Check. Leave him stranded and cooling his heels for over an hour so that President Stompyfoot can have dinner? Check. Allow extremely personal insults, up to and including calling him a chickensh!t, to go public? Check.

But God forbid that Netanyahu should visit the United States without checking in with Obama first. So THAT’S supposed to be unforgivable?? Give me a break.

I’ve said before that President Obama could not endure one-tenth of the vitriol that his predecessor did. Now it seems that he can’t abide even a fraction of what he himself dished out against an allied Head of State.

What a small, sorry little man.

I don’t doubt Obama’s ability to inconvenience Netanyahu, and Israel, in snarky ways. (It wasn’t that long ago that he hurt Israel, albeit not that badly, by warning Americans not to travel there.)

But in a facedown between the two men, it’s Sayeret Matkal vs. the Choom Gang.

  3. I certainly agree with Daniel in Brookline: “What a small, sorry little man,” as well as with the balance of Daniel’s comment. But . . .

We’ve got quite a problem here.

We have a multiply challenged president — no need to go into details for this forum — and in sane circumstances, we could rely on both the president’s party and the opposition party to see us through the circumstances and work the situation through.

As an example, and I’m really not out to be snarky here, if the president is unable to carry out his functions, Amendment 25 Section 4 may be invoked.

As a different example, I well remember the day when the leaders of the president’s party in the Senate, in the House, and the senior statesman of the party (Barry Goldwater), took that trip over to the White House to tell President Nixon it was time to call it a day. Can anyone here imagine the present president’s party calling on this president and telling him in no uncertain terms that the gig’s up — no matter how egregious or erratic this president’s behavior?

    Thought not.

The difficulty is, the parties are polarized to such an extent, and the president’s party is stiff-necked and arrogant to such an extent, that it is well-nigh impossible to see Amendment 25 Section 4 ever being invoked, even to the extent that the president may genuinely be hurting the country — and again, I do not mean that in a snarky way here. Political opinion aside, if it were possible that by some genuinely objective measure, it were plain that the president was actually, genuinely, *seriously* hurting the country, it is hard for me to see that the president’s party would cooperate in doing what would be necessary to fix the situation.

As to the topic at hand, inviting Netanyahu to speak to Congress, pointedly going around the incumbent president, seems to me at first thought to be a neat thing to do. But the incumbent president is only going to up the ante. Someone, in this instance the opposition party, is at some point going to have to be the adult in the room, because the president’s party sure as h#ll won’t be, and sure as h#ll won’t even cooperate.

I hope Boehner and McConnell know what the h#ll they’re doing, and if past performance is any indicator of future results, it’s not at all encouraging.

  4. neo,

Looks like you were finishing up your post as I was composing my comment. I will certainly be reading your post — but gotta go right now to attend to other things.

    Thanks for the response!

  5. MJR:

I understand your concern. But it may be that our only way out is for the President to be exposed, for all to see, as the Emperor Without Clothes that he is.

And the best way to do that is to push him, gently but firmly, into making more of the unforced errors he’s known for. Sooner or later, our President’s mediocre intellect and lousy work ethic will be embarrassingly obvious to all.

I’m not at all sure that Mr. Boehner can, or will, stay the course. But inviting Mr. Netanyahu without consulting the President was very much a step in the right direction. Let’s hope we see more along those lines.

  6. Meanwhile, Obama takes time to talk to the green lipstick woman. (see Gateway Pundit for pix). What a disgusting man.

  7. Perhaps not so hard to envision what Obama might do in retaliation;

Fail to veto International sanctions against Israel in the U.N.?
Fail to veto a new U.N. Security Council resolution declaring Israel to be an apartheid State.
Fail to veto a new U.N. Security Council resolution declaring Israeli settlements in the West Bank to be illegal.
Fail to veto any U.N. resolution that further isolates Israel, making her even more of a ‘rogue’ nation.

Take a look at this list of: “U.S. Vetoes of U.N. Security Council Resolutions Critical to Israel”

It’s easy enough to imagine the Obama administration now quietly putting out the word through ‘back channels’ that the U.S. will no longer veto new U.N. resolutions critical of Israel. To ensure passage, the Obama administration doesn’t have to vote for them, just have the U.S. withhold its veto…

In fact, that might actually be a bargaining tool with the Iranians. Not that Obama needs one, the agreement was almost certainly reached before ‘negotiations’ started, the negotiation process is just political cover for Obama, while providing the Iranians the time they need to reach… critical mass.

  8. The articles says “Netanyahu ought to remember that President Obama has a year and a half left to his presidency”.

I wonder who will be President from late July 2016 until late January 2017?

  9. This administration is just a non-stop amateur hour.

Hard to take them seriously at the end of several weeks that included initially snubbing France’s rally, then sending James Taylor, Obama injecting schoolyard taunts into the SOTU, Obama’s embarrassing post-SOTU with YouTube stars, and the much-hyped “West Wing”-inspired Big Block of Cheese Day.

  10. Geoffrey Britain makes the valid point. Or at least I assume that when the village idiots say that there will be a “price to pay”, they refer to Israel, not to Netanyahu personally. They have already thoroughly insulted and demeaned the man. Or maybe they actually believe that they can go beond insults and actually destroy him politically. The first reaction is to believe that Israeli politicians and the population would rally to Netanyahu as never before in the face of such blatant bullying.

However, if they seriously believe that Obama would hang the whole country out to dry to just to punish him, they might sacrifice the PM on the altar of Obama’s (or is it Jarret’s?) ego. Could an already isolated Israel survive with no support from the U.S.? Or in the face of open animosity from the U.S. government? Would the pitiful puppet in the White House, and the people pulling his strings, actually put Israel at risk out of spite? I fear that they might.

  11. Keep poking our narcissist in chief. I want a foaming at the mouth hissy fit followed by tears and whines on CNN. I promise to watch the boychild revealed, with glee.

  12. Maybe Obama’s simply refusing to meet with Netanyahu is “price” enough. Netanyahu did postpone the visit to the U.S. Congress until March. Don’t know what that signifies, but it must mean something. In any case, it all seems to have unsettled the Israeli electorate, which highly prizes good relations with the United States. Here’s some of the Wall Street Journal’s take so far:

For Mr. Netanyahu, the pomp of addressing a joint session of Congress–where he received multiple standing ovations in years past–stands to aid his campaign. But the absence of his usual White House appearance alongside the American president will tarnish the visit.

It comes at a time when his Likud party is neck and neck with the opposition Labor Party to become the largest party in the Knesset, the Israeli parliament. Polls suggest that a Likud-led alliance of parties with a tough national-security stance, however, would have an easier time forming a majority coalition needed to govern.

Though the dominant issue in the vote is expected to be middle-class frustration with the high cost of living, the state of U.S. ties looms large as a top national-security issue. Political observers say it could swing support from the premier’s party to more dovish rivals. Even harder-line rivals have jabbed at the prime minister.

    The full article is here.

  13. They’re threatening not to give the Israeli PM any food or water when he visits. Waterboarding, light, the Hussein way.

  14. Unfortunately Geoffrey Britain is correct. A vindictive Obama can do a great deal of damage.

  15. Daniel in Brookline, 3:11 pm — “I understand your concern. But it may be that our only way out is for the President to be exposed, for all to see, as the Emperor Without Clothes that he is. And the best way to do that is to push him, gently but firmly, into making more of the unforced errors he’s known for. Sooner or later, our President’s mediocre intellect and lousy work ethic will be embarrassingly obvious to all.”

I’d *love* for this to happen. But as Dennis, 6:00 pm, points out, “Unfortunately Geoffrey Britain [4:01 pm] is correct. A vindictive Obama can do a great deal of damage.”

At some point, I find myself concerned for the country (ours) and possibly for the civilized world.

    neo-neocon, 3:01 pm — “M J R: See this.”

    ( The reference is to
    http://neoneocon.com/2015/01/23/boehners-invite-and-its-meaning/ . )

I’m imagining you’re referring to a point such as

“Twelve Democrats in the Senate have in the past cosponsored legislation to impose sanctions on Iran.”

I am very pleasantly surprised. But in the face of “how egregious or erratic this president’s behavior” has become, I would be shocked! shocked! beyond all human expectation if “anyone here [can] imagine the present president’s party calling on this president and telling him in no uncertain terms that the gig’s up.”

[quoting M J R, whom better to quote? (smile)]

No one has the wherewithal to really tell this guy off, because of the blowback from all those with a vested emotional interest in his continuance: the president’s party, the enemedia, and so on.

Raaaacist, historic first, bla bla bla. And more bla.

    I’d love to be mistaken.

  16. Oldflyer:

They have ALREADY put Israel at grave risk.

So they don’t have too much further to go to get revenge out of spite. But yes, if they can think of worse, they would do it out of spite. Spite is a very potent motivator for them.

  17. neo-neocon, 6:55 pm — “As I said, it’s a longshot. But that’s one way it could happen.”

Okay, you got me now. Instead of quoting M J R, I’ll be content to quote M J R ‘s mom, who has often counseled people, “never say never”.

    This time she’s right. ‘Nuff said? ( s m i l e )

  18. They have ALREADY put Israel at grave risk.

    Indeed.

Benghazi was primarily about the State Department contracting a video so they can use it to cover up selling arms to terrorists in Libya, which aids AQ in Afghanistan strangely enough when it comes time to use anti air missiles against Special Forces carrying helicopters.

So yea, if Israel wants to see American weapons supplying the Palestinians, they are on the right track to see that future.

  19. Bho came out of the womb vindictive. He was reared to be spiteful and resentful. He was schooled to hate the most successful and liberal (in the classical sense) civilization in all of human history. Give him no respect because he does not respect the office he holds. He deserves to be vilified and shunned. He is a carrier of a disease that infects what it means to be an American with all our flaws past and present. I don’t think it will happen, to our demise, but its time for the gop dominated congress to push back hard and relentlessly against the messiah.

  20. I just saw this:

    http://www.newsmax.com/newswidget/Mossad-White-House-Benjamin-Netanyahu-Iran-sanctions/2015/01/23/id/620361/

Israel is denouncing U.S. claims that the director of Israeli intelligence opposes more sanctions on Iran, calling the allegations White House “revenge” over Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plan to address the U.S. Congress on the threat from Iran’s nuclear program.

Israel’s Mossad secret service denied a report from the Bloomberg news service that quoted sources saying that Mossad chief Tamir Pardo urged a visiting U.S. Senate delegation to hold off on stronger sanctions while President Obama and other world leaders are engaged in nuclear talks with Iran.

Oh, now that’s a great plan. Get the Mossad angry at you.

Barack, you do know, don’t you, that the Mossad knows all about you? They know your Columbia grades. They’ve probably seen your cancelled passport from your trip to Pakistan. They know details about your childhood — with proof — that Republicans would love to get their hands on.

(No, I’m not revealing any secrets here, nor do I have any sources inside the Mossad. I’m confident that they know all about Obama, because that’s how they do business. If a person has any impact whatsoever on the security of the State of Israel, they make it their business to know everything.)

I don’t know what will happen next. But President Obama likes him some secrets, and nobody is better at learning other people’s secrets than the Mossad. Obama also likes to play political hardball… but if he keeps pushing in this direction, he may yet discover that he doesn’t even know what hardball is.

  21. Daniel in Brookline
Barack, you do know, don’t you, that the Mossad knows all about you?…..If a person has any impact whatsoever on the security of the State of Israel, they make it their business to know everything.)

Given what Mossad has done in the last 6 months to Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iranian muckety-mucks, I am not about to argue with you.

  22. “My Muslim Faith” Obama is a vile hateful creature.

It’s a shame he may well damn us along with his own dark soul.

  23. It’s true that

President Obama has a year and a half left to his presidency, and that there will be a price

    and Americans will pay it.

  24. It was always important to hate the Left, even if that meant singling out one person Hussein as the figure head. Because that kind of strong emotion negates the Left’s propaganda illusions and mind control.

For people that don’t feel as strongly, it’s easier for them to continue obeying Hussein or the Left’s authorities in the propaganda venue.

  25. I think the president’s lack of respect for PM Netanyahu is reflected in referring to him as Bibi during official functions with the press. I don’t remember him referring to PM Cameron as Dave in similar situations.

  26. Israel, Honduras, Tibet, Libya, Egypt, Syria, and on and on. Obama has his preferred partners, allies, and friends, and they are not America’s traditional kind. Anyway, from conception to death, it’s all relative and personal interests.

  27. Absolute pure Gonnabee behavior.

One can only imagine what’s blowing behind the magic curtain.

  28. Dear Unnamed White House Source: If ever there was a bunch fully deserving of being spat upon by honorable people, it’s you ‘Twits.

  29. It is interesting that Obama is pissed at Bibi not Boehner. I think Boehner should invite el-Sisi from Egypt. That will really send Obama over the edge.

  30. Steve: I think you’re right. And I hope that, if Obama is truly angry at Bibi and not at Boehner, Boehner will take that as a sign that he needs to try harder.
