Did I miss… — 31 Comments

  1. he didnt… and why should he?
if he acknowleges it, then people will wonder why he didnt act or say something… but if he pretends he doesnt know, then all they can do is wonder if he knows…

    but he did threaten congress

So in the short term, if Mr. McConnell, the leader of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House, John Boehner, want to have a vote on whether what I’m doing is legal or not, they can have that vote. I will veto that vote, because I’m absolutely confident that what we’re doing is the right thing to do.”

Obama argued that he has merely “expanded my authorities” — not broken any laws:

“What we’ve done is we’ve expanded my authorities under executive action and prosecutorial discretion as far as we can legally under the existing statute, the existing law. And so now the question is, how can we get a law passed.”

and why i put it up? see luke or matthew

How canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye.

  2. Let me guess, Obama would say the selection of the hostages is obviously not random but the identity of the kidnappers is not related to islam because islam is a religion and religions are not to blame. Except it is okay to blame Christians for the crusades.

ISIS will probably store them up till Easter for crucifixion. Once done, Obama will have someone in the State Department condemn “provocations on all sides”. Whatever those sides are; since the government is reluctant to actually say.

And too, the Assyrians, just like the Copts, or any unbeliever-else unfortunate enough to fall within arm’s length of Moslems, are obviously guilty of a definite lack of enthusiasm for Islam. And that no doubt, is so hurtful that it drives ever more British welfare state youth into the arms of those who have dared to “hijack” Islam, by taking the Koran and the blithering commentaries on it, seriously, and acting on them.

I await ISIS’ arrival on these shores and their setting to work in Hollywood and Georgetown

I will then express my strong disapproval of these extremists’ methods, and the way they did not even give Steven Spielberg, or Harry Reid a chance to speak before lopping off their heads and placing them on pikes.

Of course, all this could have been avoided if only midnight basketball …

  4. You didn’t miss anything. The Antichrist-in-Chief was too busy taking over the internet and exercising his universal tyranny in other areas this week.

Let us know for certain that God Almighty is punishing us for the sin of being the rotten people who would vote for a tyrant. We are getting what we deserve.

How long O Lord, how long…

  5. I blame the voters …

Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other. John Adams

    Now, what?
This parrot speaks for me …

  6. I don’t think Obama or the Democrats give a d*** about those Christian people or what happens to them. The only thing Obama, the left and most Democrats care about is power and riches for themselves.

  7. Thing is, if a future president does not do these things, going beyond his role as defined by the Constitution and precedent, he will be CHOOSING not to do so. It won’t be because he is restrained.

  8. Somewhat off topic; but, hearing all these reports about what ISIS is doing to Christians, etc. simply because they are what they are I can’t help but feel if this is what it was like leading up to the Third Reich? Evil running rampant and those with power to do something, anything, just ignoring it all.

I always sort of gave a “free pass” to leaders in the West for not knowing the full extent of what the Nazis were up to because it was difficult to tell truth from exaggeration. But, I’m not so sure in this information age it isn’t difficult to tell what is truth and what isn’t.

Just like the Jews in Poland and the rest of Eastern Europe, Christians have managed to live in their villages, in what is now ISIS territory, for centuries and are now being wiped out. And what is the rest of the world doing?

  9. Obama doesn’t care one iota about Christians. If he cared, he would do something. We all see that things he cares about, he does – LEGALLY OR ILLEGALLY.

  10. Revelation, King James Version (A.D. 1611):

7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.

8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

    12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

    15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

  11. …Christians have managed to live in their villages, in what is now ISIS territory, for centuries and are now being wiped out. And what is the rest of the world doing?

And what did the rest of the world do when the “Christians” were being slaughtered in Rwanda and Burundi in the 1970’s and 1990’s? The Belgians were silent as ghosts in the 1970’s and the U.S. didn’t give a damn then either or when Clinton ran things later. After all, we could always get coffee some place else.

Read this account from 1973 and try not to get sick at the duplicity of so-called missionaries.

  12. Rumor has it that Morrona Harf will extend an employment offer to the kidnappers as consultants, including Obama Care Platinum packages and housing allowances. Win Win for everyone involved. The State Department’s collective IQ will double, the hostages will be set free, and ISIL’s payroll would be reduced.

  13. Chairman O doesn’t care, the dinosaur media will not report on it, so to the faithful followers it does not exist…besides the Christians probably insulted the prophet.

  14. Here is a more “Gentle” form of hostage taking/threatening , also known in the underworld as ” You have a nice store here, it would be a shame if something happened to it.”

“President Obama wants what he wants when he wants it. When a federal judge issued an injunction forbidding him to go ahead with his unconstitutional amnesty plans, a ticked off, defiant president showed up at Florida International University in Miami. In an MSNBC/ Telemundo townhall the President warned ICE officials and border patrol agents there will be consequences for those who do not obey his orders.”

Does anyone reading this doubt that if Obama traded places with “Jihad John” the result would be any different?
Unfortunately in my opinion with this man giving Iran a wink and a nod on nuke issue, the resulting deaths of innocents will make “Jihad John” look like a piker in a few years.

  15. Save Darfur…
    oh wait… they are christian?
let darfur rot for social justice….
    thank you father coughlin..

  16. It’s a fortunate thing conservative Americans have the internet, and blogs to VENT on.
It sufficiently supplants the desire to write their congressional representatives, the white house, local newspapers, and, here’s the big one:
Any semblance of Public Protests, Demonstrations, Civil Unrest. Of course, those are reserved for the Left and Progressives.

  17. Clarityseeker… all your doing is pointing out that some are more equal when you have protected classes… so much for the constitutional concept of equality before the law…

  18. It’s a fortunate thing conservative Americans have the internet, and blogs to VENT on.

Don’t worry, You won’t be on it much longer given current strategic objective achievement goals.

Eric has been saying the same thing using other words for some time.

Never underestimate the psychological satisfactions of defeatism.

Actually, all I am doing is pointing out just how unwilling conservatives are to act and behave like their opponents, Progressives, Leftists, Socialists, et al.
Other than the short-lived “gatherings” by Tea Party protestors, conservatives have not the will power, desire, constitution to take their grievances to “ACTIVIST” levels.
    “Occupy Wall Street”?
Conservatives have neither the interest, time, chutzpah, or stamina to conduct themselves in similar fashion in order to publicize their grievances. FACT.
And I know many conservatives who are willing to complain about:
1.) Constitutional over reach by Obama
2.) Over regulation by the EPA and you-name-it federal agencies who establish unfriendly environments for business, small, medium, large.
    3.) burdensome taxes
4.) Fannie and Freddie (not to mention C.R.A. legislation) lending practices which are largely ground-zero for deleterious real estate bubble.
    5.) Immigration policy
    6.) IRS corruption
    7.) Benghazi Bungling
    8.) F&F corruption
    9.) Foreign Policy putrification
    10.) Oil industry counter intuitiveness

Yet, they do not have the time nor “energy” to bombard their political representatives with dissent, disagreement, discord, or disparity.

Actually, that is “all that I am doing”.

  21. “…current strategic objective achievement goals.”

If that hyperbolic hysteria is in any way referencing the net neutrality issue, you fail to mention:
1.) Things may change in the way one can vent their anxieties on the net, however, it’s not going away. It may just cost money to do so somewhere down the line.
2.) The final decision has not yet been made on the FCC ruling. There are several things that could derail that action taken by them.

NOW————-if you were NOT referring to the net neutrality issue, I have no freakin’ clue what that synchronized structural syntax synopsis shrug was all about.

  22. DNW,
I’ve not seen Eric’s postings of similar sentiments.
It begs the question though, is it permissible to rephrase such thoughts?
    With different words?
Or is it that you simply take issue bringing the subject up?

  23. random act of random hostage-taking by random violent extremists?

Is that what you think this war is about, money.

I’m saying you are both right and in good company.

  26. DNW,
All clear. It’s a challenge that conservatives have never (other than tea party) risen to.

    Perhaps someday.
