Obama’s plans for Israel — 32 Comments

  1. I think that if he is successful in empowering and arming Iran and, hence, does not see a need to stab Israel in the back, he will do so anyway. For the sheer pleasure it would give him. Because he is that kind of guy.

  2. Near as I can tell, ayatollah Soetoro is a Twelver, himself.

For those not Muslim: the Twelvers are a Shi’ite sect that believes that an epic super hero is to rise up out of a well — Joseph style — the Twelfth in a string of heavy hitting Shi’ite iconic leaders descending from mighty Mo’ himself.

The capper is that Twelvers believe that this Mahdi will only ascend from the magic well (it’s revered, itself) in apocalyptic times… Ghostbusters style.

Valerie girl seems to be very much on this wavelength.

Which is a long way of saying: the more chaos and bloodshed in the Muslim middle east — the better — as far as Twelvers are concerned.

The previous ‘biggest talker’ for such views was Ahmadinejad.

He’s still very much out and about, too.

For a guy with little consequence, he managed to get his crew-mates slotted all over the Iranian economy, military and government.

Meaning: that nation is over-run with Twelvers.

THIS is the crowd that ayatollah Soetoro wants to gift the Bomb.

Such is high treason against these United States.

But, sitting in the oval office, Barry is immune.

Like the Romans, the French, the Russians, the Germans and many another society, no-one in the position to do so has the guts to depose the tyrant.

Which, in this land and age is more than passing strange. Congressional votes are all that is required.

Instead, the Democrats would rather ride the toboggan clear to Hell — Whig style.

The empty bench, the empty Democrat coffers, the extremities of propaganda, the digital tyranny — none are enough to rouse the Senate from its slumber — as DC slouches towards Tehran.

  3. Does anybody think the republicans in Congress are really going to do anything?

You mean like they promised to do in the autumn of 2014 regarding immigration? And everything else, then proceeded to renege on the minute they were in office?
    Those republicans?

Or as they have failed to do regarding so many criminal and unconstitutional acts by the Obama regime, that I can’t even list them any more without taking way more time than I intended? Maybe it’s those republicans you speak of?

Or perhaps like Senator Cruz, who’s wife works for Goldman Sachs? You know, the same folks who gave us Tim Giethner,
Robert Rubin, and their ilk? Also known as Government Sachs.

    Just look up the Hamilton Project;

The Hamilton Project (named after Alexander Hamilton whose most famous dictum was “The People are a Great Beast”) is essentially pushing for cuts in entitlements (like social security), outsourcing American jobs, and for more NAFTA-type agreements. This is essentially the game plan for the Obama administration, not surprising since Barack Obama was the inaugural speaker at the Hamilton Project

    (Wikipedia)

Maybe you are referring to those republicans?

Unless there is a real uproar from the citizens of this country, the political class is going full steam ahead on their present course. Given the fattened up and dumbed down apathy of a vast majority of the public, I doubt there will be a peep, other than on sites like this.

Besides, most of these east coast, ivy league types are died in the wool anti-Semites anyway. Ask Alger Hiss.

By undermining, and eventually destroying Israel, America’s influence in the area is almost totally crippled. Israel is the fulcrum to America’s leverage in the area and the left has been on a mission to destroy Israel for decades.

The Long March was not only through America’s cultural institutions ala Gramsci. That has been pretty much completed. It’s now marching on through our foreign policy, our fiscal policy, our defense policies.

While we quibble and wait for somebody to do something, the traitors, yes traitors, I do not use that term lightly, march on.

Please, just what do you think this group of republicans is going to do? Do you really think there is any difference, other than name between the democrats and republicans?

If you think there is any substantive difference, e-mail me, I have some land to sell you. It has a great bridge on it too.

  4. I agree with betsybounds. If he doesn’t “need” to stab Israel in the back, he’ll do so anyway, likely because he’s wanted to do so for years.

I suspect he underestimates the Israelis, though. As Golda Meir used to say, this is not a people that can knuckle under.

  5. neo said:

“I have little doubt that Obama plans to stab Israel in the back as forcefully as possible, and that this is not a new idea for him.”

Every time somebody from this administration or one of its proxies like Debbie Wasserman-Schultz would say words to the effect that Obama has Israel’s back, that was always the image that came to mind.

  6. Plans to? Plans to?

Hmmm, let’s see now. What might truly stop Obama, now that he’s unbound and unhinged?

Not much. Impeachment is unlikely. Too much of a threat of race riots across the nation. (Though that eventuality may occur in any event. Cherry on top of the sundae when it’s time to step down?)

Hmmm, maybe the Iranians will betray him? (Not bad, as far as plot lines go, actually.)

But why would the Iranians betray Obama? Perhaps because the mullahs will be so fed up—from an aesthetic point of view—with Obama’s poor lying skills that they’ll decide it’s beneath their honor to prevaricate with a tyro the likes of him. “Give us a liar worthy of us, not this two-bit imbecile” they might say.

But then, maybe not. No, if it’s going to happen, then Obama will simply have to betray himself.

What’s that you say? He already has? Well, no one seems to (want to) have noticed….

    File under: Purloined Betrayal.

  7. Neo said:
“The real question is will he actually need to do this [stab Israel in the back] (if he’s successful in Iran–meaning in empowering and arming Iran, he might not see the need),…”

Of course he will stab Israel in the back. Obama is so predictable.

  8. I’m not sure that Chairman O is stabbing Israel in the back, he is pretty much shooting them in the face!

  9. Roman:

Although it is not Israel’s motto, Israel actually does a decent job embodying the “no better friend, no worse enemy” ethos.

    This could get interesting.

  10. I wonder if Bibi is having talks with Saudia Arabia and Egypt. Wouldn’t it be ironic if these countries form a strong alliance? Hopefully the GOP is coordinating with Bibi about how to go on the offensive if and when Obama signs the deal with Iran and takes steps in the UN to pressure Israel.

  11. Since Day One of Obama’s campaign for the Presidency, Obama has been about the destruction of Israel. Shrouded by the MSM and the Democrat Party, the campaign for the elimination of Israel has been the crown jewel in Obama’s legacy.

    Surprised? Not really.

  12. Obama is going to push in the U.N. for an imposed solution. As the WaPo article indicates, it will give Israel very little, while imposing suicidal conditions upon the Israelis and give to the Palestinian’s everything that they want. So Israel is going to reject it.

But, it will insist upon a recognition of Israel’s right to exist, as it would be too obviously prejudicial not to include that stipulation.

If the Palestinian’s once more snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, they too will reject it, just as they did before. A Palestinian rejection will make it impossible for Obama to convincingly paint Israel as the primary barrier to peace.

But if the Palestinians accept it, Israel’s rejection provides Obama the excuse needed to greatly reduce US aid to Israel. As after all, Israel will be obstructing both the peace process and the world’s will… how dare they place survival above the group’s consensus.

  13. I wonder if Bibi is having talks with Saudia Arabia and Egypt.
    ———————–

Through back channels, sure. But neither country can afford to do so openly. The results would be catastrophic in the Arab Street. Instead, any and all support will be covert. If the Israelis need to carry out an overflight of Saudi airspace, then a particular corridor of radar systems will be “undergoing maintenance” that day. Or Egyptian intelligence services will receive intel from “an unidentified source” regarding Iranian agents in Egypt.

  14. What I have never understood about those who seek the end of Israel or the two state thing is this: Don’t they know what will become of that region? It will become like Detroit and Cairo on steriods. All the intellectual riches, research will vanish, kind of like that sappy preamble in Gone with the Wind. It will quickly evolve into an islamic state goverened by dictators and sharia and jews will HAVE to flee. Why do they want this? It would be like putting gangs in charge of Los Angeles or any other major cities. It’s crazy.

  15. Tim P: “Unless there is a real uproar from the citizens of this country, the political class is going full steam ahead on their present course.”

Yep. The activist game is the only social cultural/political game there is.

  16. Through back channels, sure. But neither country can afford to do so openly. The results would be catastrophic in the Arab Street.

its already been catastrophic in much of the land in ME, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Libya, els where by Gulf Money and Recruited Jihadest from those Madrash for the last 50 years.

It better off stop hide the head in the sand and let make deal with Israels and stop pussycat on the land of Oil Lords.

  17. Back from Leftyland, in the Vineyard! Whew. I had some interesting discussions with the libbies I was sharing a house with, by being [somewhat] contrarian, but non-confrontational, inquiring politely why they believe what they believe, etc. Found out a few things.

    a. They love Elizabeth Warren because they believe she “took it to the Wall St. banksters,” fighting their bonuses and super-high salaries. And she defeated Scott Brown, whom they hate for “taking” the loathsome Ted Kennedy’s “seat.”

    b. Re Israel: They’ve completed the transformation of the Israeli Jews from persecuted people surrounded by a sea of moslems intent on killing them all, to “oppressors” who are “refusing to live in peace with” the Palis.

They have stuffed the wars of All Against One to eradicate Israel down the Memory Hole. They have stuffed Israel’s land for peace deals over the years down the Memory Hole. Literally were boggled when I brought these up. One woman in particular seemed to have no idea what I was talking about.

They change the subject whenever you try to pin them with “What should we do about Iran’s nukes?” I got this thrown back at me:

–“We shouldn’t be the world’s police. Terrible things have been going on forever, they won’t stop.” [That, after I pointed out even France’s socialist govt. opposes the deal.]

–“Who are we to say what Iran can do?”

–“What are we supposed to do about it? Nuke everyone in Iran?” [this in response to “What about the Non-Proliferation Treaty?”]

–“England is paying the penalty for the sins of empire” [moslem immigration problems]. This same person then had no response when I pointed out Japan doesn’t allow ANY moslems to immigrate, and most definitely had a huge, violent empire.

–“Oh, the JEWS are never guilty, never wrong” [dripping with sarcasm]. Then she likened the establishment of Israel to the English conquest and rule of Ireland.

–“Most of the Palestinians are Christians.” [I don’t know WHERE the hell that one came from.]

–Had No Knowledge of the Hamas charter, or the Hezbollah genocide threat, or the ratio of Hamas rocket strikes to Pali strikes; etc., etc.

–Got mad at me for blowing up one of their ‘points’ after another, and said, “Well, I haven’t made a life’s study of this stuff like YOU have!”

    c. As you no doubt suspected, there’s a certain amount of bonding and circular onanism going on. Self-righteous to a point that it makes your hair hurt.

  18. These are all college-educated women over 50. Not the millennials. Most had a more traditional education, ca. 1970s.

But they’ve been swilling at the HuffPo, Daily Kos, DemocraticUnderground troughs for so long that, as Rush says, they’re literally deranged. They’ve been maddened by a continual diet of hatred, lies, and misinformation. It’s staggering.

Oh, and one of these birdbrains, over dinner, suddenly piped up and said, “It’s those Republicans who are refusing to vaccinate their children! You know, the climate change-deniers. Idiots!” Another chimed in, “Fox brains!” and tried to get us all to adopt that as the new slur.

I was so exasperated by this particular idiocy that I had to interject: “ACTUALLY, it’s the liberal enclaves where vaccination rates are really low: San Francisco, e.g., is about 75%, while red [sic] states are closer to 95%.”

One of the geniuses narrowed her eyes at me and said, “There are a lot of gay people in San Francisco.” I replied, “What does that have to do with the vaccination rates of children? I’m telling you, it’s the people who think vaccines will give kids autism.”

At that point, another dame, former newspaper editor, said grudgingly, “That’s right, this isn’t really a Republican/Democrat split.” And the Floating Opera floated past that boulder and continued merrily downstream.

You can’t combat all the activated sludge that’s in their minds from a continual diet of the Reds’ lies and distortions, but you can blow up one lie here, and another lie there.

As it says in the New Testament, Be ye therefore wise as serpents and harmless as doves. I did have a good time, and exercised my skills to change the subject fairly often when they were veering towards politics, just because I can’t stand to listen to their bloody nonsense.

  19. Beverly:

    Kudos to you.

I have run up time and again against one or both of these two responses when I make points that reflect poorly on Obama and/or the Democrats as a whole: (1) “Oh, all politicians do that; or (2) “But Republicans are racists who hate women and I could never vote for them!”

  20. It better off stop hide the head in the sand and let make deal with Israels and stop pussycat on the land of Oil Lords.
    —————-

Like Anwar Sadat did? How’d that work out for him?

  21. Beverly
T’was the same situation in Germany in the 1930’s.
The Socialists controlled information so much that very smart people were spouting nonsense, partially as a GIGO effect of sort.

I say partially since States sides the information purveyors were enthusiastically participating in the charade. Read Beyond Belief: The American Press And The Coming Of The Holocaust, 1933- 1945 should you like to get your hair to hurt some more … I mean really hurt!

Same in Hollyweird: Did Nazis run the Jews who ‘run Hollywood’?

I’m not sure about the business of being a “Dove smart as a snake” unless it means tactically and strategically staying away from the morons…

Sooner or later you’ll have to fight. Wait too long and it’ll be even bloodier.
    It’s happened before ….

  22. But they’ve been swilling at the HuffPo, Daily Kos, DemocraticUnderground troughs
    —————————

It’s not just them. One of the points that is occasionally made in conservative circles is that the progs don’t just control the newspapers and TV news shows. They’re *everywhere* in media. For instance, several “independent” websites that specialize in various gossip, entertainment, top ten lists, etc…, are in fact all owned by prog Gawker Media. And the articles will occasionally include one of those snarks about how racist conservatives are, or similar stuff that “everyone” “knows” to be true.

But because 95% of the articles on the sites in question don’t contain any blatant bias, those sites are “obviously” unbiased. It’s that last 5% of the articles. Those articles will have some small bit of snark or other form of “everyone knows” bias that is, perhaps, more insidious and problematic than the regular, more overt stuff.

  23. Beverly, I could not do what you have done without massive amounts of recreational drugs.

  24. Sarah Hoyt, commenter at PJMedia., is right on:
You only know the half of it. I grew up in Portugal, and in the last years I lived there (mid eighties) the white wash of Moors had begun. Just a few books, with titles like “Portugal’s Moorish origins.”
Then the romances with good Arabs started. (And look, romances that end in a happy polygamous marriage in which women have no rights should be right out.)
By the nineties were were up to glossy coffee table books pointing out how all the best in Portugal came from the Arabs.
Turns out most of these were subsidized/paid for by middle eastern sources.
Yes, our compatriots are very silly, but they’re not silly alone. There is a psychological was going on, and we’re losing.

  25. Biden is either telling American Jewry to run for their lives…

Or that he’s expecting Israel to protect the USA.

Israeli Jews are going to have to save the world, entire.
